Lynn climbed down from the ladder and walked over to garage door opener near the kitchen door. She paused a full minute, then took a deep breath and held it, as if her lack of oxygen might muffle the sounds of the door. She had to count on the fact that Henry Bishop's house wouldn't be closely watched, especially as whoever was watching was aware that the sole resident of Bishop's house was no longer alive. Lynn pushed the button and made her way back to the Blazer amidst the squeaking sound made by the garage door as it slowly opened. She climbed into the driver's seat and started the engine.
