Chapter 21
Eliza´s POV:
After Anna and Ben walked back to the pack house, I went to the bakery. My mom and I had already discussed which pastry should be there weeks ago. All I had to do was pick them up. Maybe she wouldn’t be there herself and could I take care of it with a co-worker without needing to have a proper conversation with my mother.
Of course, it saddened me I had no contact with my parents, but I found it difficult to talk with them. I had imagined my life so differently than it was now and how it was going to be at all. It hurt to be lied to for eighteen years. Not to mention the fact that they thought they could solve the problem simply by marrying me off to none other than the Alpha of my pack. I just couldn’t figure it out in my mind.
