Midnight Madness
William knew he would make her his…although they’d fought intensely about that fact in the dead of night when they both woke from a sound sleep together in bed, feeling the strangeness of their sudden pairing rip them from their slumbers. Their bodies wanted more, but William had important business to conduct with the blue-eyed beauty before they had s*x again.
He pressed her hard for an answer about their future, realizing that he had little time to resolve these matters.
“I can’t leave him!” she’d said. There were still her secrets to protect.
“Then tell me why you can’t.” His insistence rubbed her raw. But he had no idea what was at stake.
“Marriage is sacred to me. I agreed to be his wife. I cannot change what I have already done.”
