Monday, first period. I went to my first class of the day, it's always Mr. Daniels's class. I opened my book and pretended to look interested so that I didn't have to pay attention or answer any stupid questions. At this point, I'm over being a student. The bell rang for the next period so I packed up my things, Skylar and Brian waited for me outside the classroom but I didn't make it to my next class. My heart was pounding, my head was throbbing, I was nauseous, tired and my body ached, the last thing I remember was that I collapsed on the floor in the corridor and that was the last day I was at school as a normal child. This happened more often, each time worse than the last which led to me being in the hospital and doctors' offices constantly. Eventually, I got so sick I couldn't even go to school anymore. My parents have been here throughout all of this but they lack affection so they do not know how to handle it. Instead of making me feel better, they made me feel like me being sick was my fault. After my diagnosis I had my whole life figured out, I organized everything from the day of my diagnosis to the day I was expected to die, or at least I thought I did. But something unexpected happened that changed my entire perspective.
