Allison’s life was perfect. She was the Alpha’s daughter and had been training to take his place since a young age. However, she lost everything in an instant. Rogues attacked her pack and killed her parents. After her parents’ death, her pack split up and joined other packs. None of the packs were willing to take in an alpha’s daughter, so Allison spent the next 5 years wandering around as a rogue. As her 18th birthday drew closer, she dreamed of finding her mate. After one terrible night, she stumbled into an unfamiliar pack’s territory, where the Alpha gave her a chance to prove herself worthy of joining their pack. Will she prove to everyone that she belongs? Will she find her mate and have her happily ever after?

Memories
I can feel the breeze flow through my hair as my wolf, Sapphire, runs and jumps over fallen logs in the forest. We both love to go for runs in the forest. Something about nature is so relaxing. I pause for a moment to listen to the river and I enjoy the peace and serenity while I clear my thoughts. In this moment, my life is perfect. I can’t imagine life getting any better. I want to stay in this place of happiness forever, but something in me knew that it wouldn’t last. Then I hear it. Someone screaming in the distance. It was faint, but it sounded like it came from the pack house. Without thinking about it, I took off running as fast as I could towards the screaming. It could only mean one thing. God, I hope that I am wrong. When I arrived at the pack house my worst fears were playing out in front of my eyes. Our pack was under attack by over a hundred rogue wolves. I stood there from a distance frozen for a few minutes as I took in the scene. It was like my mind didn’t want to believe what was happening. All of those that could fight, were fighting multiple rogues at a time. Most of the warriors were in their wolf form. Most of the women were trying to get the children to safety. There were too many of them. There were several of our pack members laying dead on the ground. Even though there were more rogues dead than us, I could see that we were losing. I desperately wanted to help, but I am only 12, and I am not supposed to fight yet. Although, I am one of the best fighters in the pack thanks to my father. He has been training me how to fight since I was four-years-old. He knew that I would be the next in line to run the pack, and he wanted me to be a strong warrior. I could beat any one of our warriors in one-to-one combat and couple two on one, but that was in a controlled setting. I have never fought a rogue before. They don’t play by the same rules. Most of the time they are aiming to kill. My father would kill me if I tried to fight a rogue on my own. That is, if the rogue didn’t kill me first. The thought of my parents snapped me out of my trance and started searching the crowd for my parents. At that moment I needed to know where they were. I was slowly starting to panic until I saw my father, the Alpha. He is much bigger than most of the rogues and is easy to spot. He is currently fighting three wolves off. I can see that he has his work cut out for him, but it is nothing that he can’t handle. I continue to search for my mother to see if she needs my help. I found her close to the pack house fighting off a couple of rogues. She is trying to protect several younger kids that can’t fight yet. I spring into action and run towards my mother while dodging several rogues that are fighting other pack members. I get to my mother’s side and help her fight the two rogues that were trying to get into the pack house. Once they are dead, my mother mind links me, “Thanks for your help Alley. I am happy to see you. I was starting to worry about you.” “Mom, we should start evacuating those that can’t fight to the evacuation site. It doesn’t look like we are going to last much longer.” I say to my mother through the link. She agrees, and we spend what feels like hours helping the women and children get away from the fighting. As my mother and I were escorting the last group to safety, my mother froze. “What’s wrong?” I ask her. She looks at me and says, “No matter what happens, I want you to keep running. Get to the evacuation site and help those there find a new pack. Let our neighboring packs know that the Silver Moon Pack has fallen to rogues. I love you sweetheart.” Before I could respond, she took off running. I was left standing there confused and wondering what she was talking about. I looked towards where my mother had run off to, and what I saw shocked me. My father was surrounded by rogues, and was struggling to stand. A rogue lunged at him and snapped his neck. He was gone. My mother let out a loud howl full of anger and pain. She attacked the rogues that were surrounding my father with all of her might. She killed two of the rogues before they overpowered her and killed her too. I stood there in shock for a moment until I heard something. The two kids next to me were crying at the loss of our pack’s Alpha and Luna. I looked at them, then towards the battle one last time, and I nudged them to start moving in the direction of the evacuation point. It was several miles away, and I knew that we would need to get moving if we didn’t want the rogues to follow us.
