It has been five years since my pack was destroyed, but I still remember it like it was yesterday. Most of the survivors took shelter in nearby packs. I helped make sure that they all had a pack take them in. Me on the other hand, no one wanted me. I can’t say that I blame them though. I was the daughter of the Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack. We were the second strongest pack in our area. They all probably thought that I would want to take over their pack since I had Alpha blood in me. It also didn’t help that I was an orphan.
I don’t mind though. I am doing pretty well on my own. I get to hunt and run through the woods on my own, and no one tells me what to do. It does get a little lonely at times, but I have my wolf to keep me company. I mean, it hurt that no one wanted to take me in at first, but I got over it. I know that now I am considered a rogue, but I like to think of it like I am a lone wolf that lost her pack, and is looking for a new one. Although, I doubt that I will find a pack until my eighteenth birthday. Two and a half more weeks, and I will be able to find my mate.
Hopefully.
Most wolves would have gone crazy by now, but not me. I refuse to be like the rogues that ruined my life. Plus, Sapphire helps keep me sane. If I didn’t have her, I don’t know what I would have done. I come across other rogues every once in a while, but after I killed several rogues they seem to leave me alone.
I was relaxing next to the river and cooking a fish for dinner. I was starting to wonder what my mate would be like, and how I would find him if I was wandering the woods. Then I heard a few twigs break me out of my thoughts. When I looked up, three rogues walked into the clearing, and started walking towards me.
“Do you know how long we have been looking for you young lady? You are one difficult wolf to track down.” Said the tallest rogue. He was probably about 6’5” with dark brown hair and eyes. I could see his muscles through his tight muscle shirt. The other two rogues next to him were a little shorter than the one who spoke. They were both about 6’1”. One of them had dirty blonde hair and blue eyes, and the other had black hair with honey brown eyes. They were also wearing shirts that were so tight that they left little to the imagination. They were all decent looking, not ugly at all for rogues.
They were a little intimidating compared to my five feet and nine inches. My wolf was feeling restless, and pacing back and forth in my head. Something about them made us feel uneasy.
“Well, here I am. You found me. Now you can go.” I say abruptly. The other two rogues looked to their leader to see his reaction. He started chuckling, and said, “My, my, you do have quite the attitude. I like that in a shewolf.” An evil grin spread across his face. “However, we didn’t come all this way just to say hi.” I braced myself getting ready to fight these bastards, because I could tell that their intentions weren’t good. Just as they stepped closer, I heard another twig break behind me. When I turned to look at what caused the noise, a fourth wolf had stepped out from behind me. How could I be so stupid, how did I not hear him? Before I could react, the fourth rogue hit me on the head with a large rock.
It didn’t knock me out, but it left me dazed. The other three rogues rushed towards me, and started to punch and kick me. I got in a few good punches and kicks too, but I wasn’t as strong as I would have been if that fourth rogue hadn’t hit me in the head. Before I knew it I was pinned to a tree by two of the rogues. The leader chuckled as I struggled to get free from their grips.
As a sinister grin spread across his face, he said, “Let’s have a little fun boys before we bring her back.” I gulped as his words sunk in. There were so many thoughts running through my head. Where were they planning on taking me? Does ‘fun’ mean what I think it does? I shuddered, because I knew that I was about to find out.
Just then, the leader made his first move. He came close to me and started to unbutton my pants. He wasn’t paying attention, so I head butted him. He took a step back and punched me in the face. If they wanted me, they were going to have to fight for it. I wasn’t going to make it easy for them.
“Get her on the ground!” the leader spat blood angrily. It took all three of the other rogues to pin me to the ground. I did my best to try to push them off of me, but they were too strong for me together.
*Sapphire, I don’t know if I can take this.
Don’t worry Alley, I will be here the whole time.
The next few hours went by agonizingly slow. Each rogue took their turn with me while the others held me down. By the end of it I was exhausted and wanted to pass out, but I knew that I couldn’t let myself do that. I was still in danger. I waited for the rogues to pass out before I made my move.
*Sapphire, I am going to shift and give you control. I trust you to get me away from here as quickly as possible.
Don’t worry Alley, I got this.
I shifted and let Sapphire take control as I could feel myself losing consciousness.
