I couldn't stop wondering, what am I supposed to do with what I just experienced?!

“Father!!”

“I told you to forget about it.”

Asher POV

The sun slowly set as I looked through my window, I couldn’t take it anymore.

My heart yearned for my Mate, My wolf crawled beneath my skin in the quest for my mate.

I breathed in Heavily.

“Edward, My beta,” I muttered in whispers.

As a kid wolf, Edward was my teacher and my Father’s Beta. I never liked a birthday ball while growing up, I’ve always tagged it as the girl's thing and something a male wolf should never do, But my Parents never let me, especially my Mother!

A tragic one for my Father’s pack, rogues in the group attacked during my balls. Lots of the pack’s wealth was stolen.

As an Alpha, Father couldn’t watch his pack being messed with, He got in his armor wear and joined forces with the rogues. Alpha Esme of Lithal Moon pack used the opportunity, he cruelly got rid of my mother. After so much struggle, He killed my Father.

Alpha Esme came for me, but how I defeated and killed him, amused me to date.

Full rays of blue light radiating from my body, untouchable. I protected myself with my teacher, at the same time getting rid of all the counterfeits.

Rays disappearing after some hours,

“You are a special one,” Edward said to me and I stared amusingly at him.

“You hold the keys to what I’ve been looking for all my life!”

“What are you talking about!! I just lost my parent!!” I screamed overwhelmed by what just happened.

“Yes, That’s why we must get out of here as soon as possible!”

“I’m going to lock you up if you don’t keep quiet!! And keep talking this sh!t!!”

“Asher we need to leave to the human world!”

“Edward you spewing nonsense!! Can you just keep Quiet or I could rip your head off your neck!!”

“You wouldn’t do a such thing, we can just leave to the human world and live among them, Your father won’t want you dead! without much training even though you have these powers and being so young, it’s just not enough! let's keep our lives. You have the power to make us live in the human world, Let's leave!”

I watched him in awe as he spoke

“Edward, I’ve trained enough. And I’m 17, not too much of a kid, I will find my wolf soon and become a full-grown wolf. I can keep My Father’s Pack safe.”

“Yes Asher, but with all due respect as the Alpha’s son, You are just like Isabelle at home, you both are age mate, She is weak and can do nothing, I see you the same way as her, let's all move to the human world, there we can have the peace we deserve.”

“I’m going nowhere from my Father.”

“Then I’m leaving!” He pronounced giving me goosebumps, even though I saw that coming.

“Alright, safe journey.” I voiced and turned my back.

“I need your help for that.”

“And you will never get it.”

He heaved a deep sigh with his head hanging aimlessly at his neck, as though he could commit suicide if I didn’t help.

He has always known how to get me right from time.

“On one condition,” I muttered.

“Stay as my Alpha for a year, till I find my mate.”

I gave him my conditions.

“I also have a condition,” Edward pronounced, how brazen he could be.

“That you prevent Isabelle from finding her wolf, and mate.” He pronounced making me more surprised at his sudden outburst.

“Done. If she can’t find her wolf, there’s no way she will feel her mate.”

“That’s not all.” My brazen beta spoke again.

“She must have a fresh memory when we get to the human world.”

I nodded my head in reply.

Being an Alpha was overwhelming, but my father had prepared me well enough. Even though I was young.

It was my 18th birthday and I transformed into a giant golden wolf under the full moon. I could see how huge I was, with a silver lining running down my stomach. Indeed I was a special wolf, After My Pack’s ancestor, who died a million years ago, no other wolf has transformed golden. But I did.

My beta’s mouth was opened wide in amazement.

As though he had been waiting eagerly for this day, he requested his power immediately.

“Yes, great Alpha.” He answered bowing his head and giving his respect and I nodded. Indeed, it was time,

He meant it, his mind was made up.

I had no choice, I had to fulfill my promise. I was already strong enough on my own.

I brought him closer to my wolf self, transferring all the quiet he needed.

“I wish you all the happiness and the soul-soothing peace you so desire.”

“Alpha Asher, Make sure you stay alive,” he muttered vigorously. Engulfing me tightly in a hug, and a breath of air, he was gone.

I stood in silence for hours, I couldn't believe it.

My teacher, My Beta was gone.

No parents and the only one I’ve got was gone too.

I remained under the moon till it no longer shone.

I moved slowly like a drenched soul to my quarter.

Even though I became the Alpha, I never packed to the Alpha’s quarter.

It was for my parents and only when I needed to reminisce on our memories did I go there.

I lay soullessly on my huge bed facing upward thinking about how lonely life has become.

Then it crawled slowly into my mind.

I’ve got a mate to find.

“Where could she be??” I asked myself knowing I wouldn’t get an answer from anywhere.
