Alpha Redemption

Just at the stroke of midday, a train pulls into the Greenville station. Emily Varg and a host of other passengers walk out of the train unto the platform. Emily observes the kind of people in the platform; The workers at the station, the passengers and waiting friends, lovers and family. She picks up her bag and heads to the car park and enters a taxi. Emily notices the major differences between New York and Greenville, Greenville is more of a community than it is a city. People are going about their different businesses. She notices the kind of cars driven in the town by regular citizens and the similar designs of some of their houses. She arrives at an apartment building and rings the buzzer. The door opens and the landlady comes out and Emily explains to her that she called earlier to enquire about the vacant apartment.  The landlady leads Emily into the apartment building. Gives her a tour of the apartment and the rules of the place and reminds her that the rent must be paid at the end of the month. After the landlady leaves, Emily goes to drop her bags and looks around the apartment. Emily is sleeping and her alarm is buzzing but she does not wake up. Her phone starts ringing and it wakes her this time. She answers her phone and runs into the bathroom to freshen up. Emily arrives late to work at a coffee shop. Her friend, Katty, who got her the job scolds her for coming late and leads her to the manager’s office. Emily goes to the manager’s office and knocks on the door. Harry Quinby, or Big Harry as he is popularly known, the manager scolds her for coming late but she explains to him that she got lost on her way to the coffee shop. Big Harry takes pity on her and gives her the job and Emily promises not to let him down. Emily works from the counter dressed in the cafe’s official uniform. Katty Jones, her friend, shows her around and introduces her to the other members of the staff, Brandon, who does most the repair and maintenance and Joana who handles the coffee machine. Emily calls out Alex Wolfman, and a young man in his late 20s to come and take his order. While picking his order, he looks up at Emily and is struck by her beauty and he catches her staring at him. Their eyes lock and they both pull out of the stare. Alex pays for his cup and goes on his way.  Katty comes to find out what Emily and Alex spoke about, but Emily denies saying anything. Katty tells Emily about Alex but is interrupted by Big Harry calls their attention to waiting customers  and tells them to get to work. Katty goes back to her station while Emily continues taking orders from customers. Emily and Katty are getting ready to go out. Katty is talking from the bathroom while Emily is by Katty’s mirror applying some make up. Katty tells Emily more about Greenville and how peaceful the town is. She tells Emily that everybody knows everybody in the town because the town is not a big town and social events like 4th of July and pride march were celebrated together as one big family. But all that changed when Alex Wolfman moved into town. Katty comes out of the bathroom to join Emily in the room and get dressed. She tells Emily of how Alex came into town with nothing but his traveling bags and started a fertilizer company which has become the most productive and popular establishment in the town. According to Katty, Alex’s fertilizer company, Grand Fertilizer, is so popular that a lot of people who never knew about Greenville know about the town because of the fertilizer company. Katty says that the best part is that Alex is so attractive that he is the desire of all the single and most of the married women in town. They both laugh as they continue dressing up. Alex Wolfman and his girlfriend, Maya Lawrence, are having dinner in an Italian restaurant. The restaurant is an exotic restaurant that boasts of the elites of Greenville. Maya tells Alex to come back home. Alex tells her that he is not coming home because of what happened the last time. He tells her that that is the past and that the only way for him is forward.  Alex appreciates Maya for her loyalty over the years. She has been there for him since the death of his father; she stood by him through the hard time. He brings out a ring and proposes to Maya. Maya acknowledges his honest qualities but doubts how far these qualities will take him in a cruel world.. She tells him that she stayed by him because he was the true son of his father and that he would never abandon his mandate. But she was wrong because he lacks the ambition and courage. She tells him that she wants to be Luna and not a loser. After saying this she stands up and leaves the restaurant while Alex sits back dumbfounded.  Emily and Katty go to join Brandon, Joana and her friend Patricio who she is trying to match with Katty, all hanging outside a bar. They all greet each other, Joana comments on Katty’s outfit and introduces her to Patricio who offers her a handshake. They start heading into the bar but Emily spots Alex walking to his car. He looks towards their direction and recognises them. He stares at Emily for a brief moment and goes into his car, starts the engine and zooms off. Emily and her friends go into the bar to continue with their night. Alex drives over to his house.in a hurry. He is in pain and very angry as he walks through the house. He stumbles on some furniture as he makes his way through the house. He goes to the basement of the house and sits on a restraining chair where he restrains himself with the locks. He starts transforming and howls. His howls can be heard by people and animals around his house. The howl startles the animals in the woods and domesticated animals around the house.
