Alpha Redemption

Chapter Four

Emily is at her workplace telling Katty about her experience with Maya. Katty tells Emily that not much is known about Maya apart from the fact that she is always spotted with Alex. A customer walks in and as Emily looks up, it is Maya. She tells Emily that Alex has been abducted on his way to his meeting this morning. Emily begins to panic but Maya tells her to calm down. She tells her to go to Liam as he is the only one who can help her. Emily asks her why she is helping her but Maya tells her that not minding what Emily might think, she actually likes him. Maya tells Emily that she knows all about Emily’s past and what brought her to Greenville and she will always keep an eye on her.

Katty asks what that was all about but Emily does not say much. She picks up her bag and leaves for Liam's workplace. Liam is giving instructions to members of his staff when Emily walks in. On seeing Emily, he suspends what he's up to and goes to meet Emily. Emily tells him about what happened to Alex but Liam seems to be happy about the news. Emily begs Liam that Maya told her that he is the only one who can help her find Alex and bring him home. Liam tells her that the only way he will help Alex is if she agrees to be his partner but she refuses. So Liam tells her to go out with him for 7 dates and if she doesn't fall for him then he will withdraw peacefully and she agrees.

Alex comes back to consciousness and sees that he is bound in his hands to a chair. He looks around and sees the men who abducted him by the side. He hears a female’s footsteps walking close to him from behind. The lady walks into his view and seats right across him. The lady is Sophia. She tells him about Maya's visit and she knows that Alex was the one who sent Maya to come and spy on them but she has always been 9 steps ahead. She tells Alex that he is going to die there and she stands up and tells Trevor to tell her when Alex is dead and his body has been disposed of then she leaves.

Liam arrives at the abandoned property where Alex is being held captive. He takes out the look outs quietly and stealthy. Then he proceeds into the building and takes out the two men watching Alex. He releases Alex and leads him out. When they are at a safe distance, Alex asks Liam why he came to save him but he says that Alex should be grateful that he has a girlfriend who is willing to do anything to save his life. Liam leads Alex to where his car is parked and they drive off.

Emily arrives at Alex's house to make sure that the house is ready to receive Alex in case he needs medical attention. But when she arrives at the house, she sees Maya by the fireplace. She tries to find out how and why Maya is in the house. Maya tells Emily that she knows about the her and how she was selling information about her office to their competitors. Emily tells her that she doesn't know what she is talking about and she needs to leave because Alex will not like to come back and meet her. Maya walks towards Emily and shows Emily her claws and tells Emily that she does not know what she has involved herself in, but she is going to save her from such life. Maya uses her claws to gut Emily on her stomach. She guts her so deep that the blood starts gushing out immediately. Emily slumps on the floor while Maya simply walks away.

When Alex gets home, he smells blood and goes to where the blood is coming from. He sees Emily has crawled to the stairs and she is still bleeding. Alex is devastated and wants to call an ambulance but he sees that she has bled for too long so he goes to her and puts her head on his lap. She apologizes to him for not always being sincere to him. Alex, thinking she is talking about going to Liam, tells her not to bother about it, that he understands why she did what she did. But she tells him that she left New York because her colleague and ex boyfriend was using her computer to sell company information to competitors but when an investigation was carried out, she was the one punished for it because the act was done with her computer.

Emily goes into shock and Alex becomes desperate to save her so he bites her on her hand and carries her up the stairs. He drops her on his bed then he goes to sit by the bed and watch over her while she is unconscious.

Emily is having a nightmare where she is being pursued by an enormous wolf in the middle of the forest. The wolf has blood dripping from its mouth when it finally catches her but as she looks closer she discovers that the wolf is Alex and she wakes up abruptly in the middle of the night. She looks by her side and she sees Alex who is awake and already sitting beside her on the bed. He asks Emily if she feels okay and if she feels pain. Emily checks where she was wounded but the wound is completely healed. She asks Alex how it is possible and he says that he will explain it to her in the morning but right now, what is important is that she rests. So she goes back to bed and falls asleep almost immediately.
