Falling In Love

It’s 8 p.m already when I woke up. I just cook pasta for my dinner today since I’m not that hungry. After eating I just watch some Netflix movies when I remembered that I promise him that I will call him when I woke up. I hope I can not disturb him today.

  “Hello Vio, good evening. I am so sorry I just woke up.”

  “No, it’s fine with. Do you get a good sleep today?” I roll my eyes when I hear his voice, it’s cold.

  “Yes, I do. Are you done with your work?”

  “Yes, I’m about to leave now.”

  “Ah okay drive safe, and take care. Just text me when you got home. Bye.”

  “Yeah, bye.” 

After that short phone call, I headed back again to my room to prepare myself to sleep. As I was doing my skincare, I saw the notification appear on the screen of my phone. He texted me that he’s at home now so I just text him back that he needs to take a rest. 

It’s Monday today and it’s my rest day. Tomorrow is our flight to New York. I am now packing the things that I need for the trip. I bring two luggage and a small backpack. I bring many clothes ‘coz right after the event in New York we will be heading to Philippines and Vio is going to be my companion for that one week trip. 

Am I that busy fixing my clothes that I was so shocked when my phone rang? Nah, never mind, Vio is calling right now.

  “Hello, good morning.”

  “Good morning too Vio. Did you eat your breakfast?”

  “Yes love, I did.” I was caught off guard by what he said. Love?! he calls me love? Oh my gosh, I looked like a tomato again.

  “Ehem, ahm what are you going to do today? Do you still have some works or appointments?”

  “No, you told me to rest today so I cancel all my schedule for this week.”

  “That’s good to hear. Pack your things already, okay?”

  “Okay. I need to go now ‘coz mom calling me. See you tomorrow my love. Bye”

He hang up the call after he said those words. Oh my gosh. Did he just say ‘my love’? Ahh, I’m rolling in my bed right because of too much happiness. I don’t want this to end. This happiness that he gives me. I wish it would stay forever.

For lunch, I just toast a piece of bread and ordered a milk tea online. I’m lazy too to cook my food again. It’s just a boring day for me so to keep me busy I clean the house, do the laundry, and pay the bills. Perks of living alone, no one’s going to help you with the household chores. After completing some errands I just lie on my bed until I fall asleep.

Today is Tuesday. I’m here waiting for Vio to fetch me. I only ate toasted bread and a coffee today. I am wearing a v-neck white shirt and a violet high waist short, pairing it with black and white converse shoes. I instantly get my two luggage and my small backpack when I hear the horn of Vio’c car. I locked the door of my condo first before getting into his car.

He is with their family driver today. He’s sitting at the back seat so after I put all my thing in the compartment I sit on his side. I’m getting addicted to his perfume. I snapped with my thoughts. Stop it, Linn. Your daydreaming again.

  “Are you ready? It’s one of your biggest book signing events.” he suddenly asks me

  “I’m a little nervous but I’m also excited.” I honestly answer him.

Here we go again with deadly silence. But I’m getting used to it. I know that he doesn’t like to talk. For the whole duration of the ride, I just listen to music while he is browsing his Ipad. Even when we were on the airplane already he was still busy doing something on his Ipad and I don’t have any single idea about that. 

One of the songs that I’m listening to mentioned something about the hotel. I am startled because I forgot to book a hotel in advance. My boss is with me and I felt ashamed.

  “What happened to you? You look like you want to poop here?” he playfully asks. He chuckled a bit when he said the word poop.

  “What? No! It’s just that I forgot to book a hotel. Knowing New York there is a lot of tourists there so it’s hard to find a hotel. Also, you're with me today.” 

And with that, he laughs so hard and I don’t know why.

  “Don’t worry about that, mom said that we can stay at her hotel. In the penthouse to be exact,” he said that while still suppressing his smile. Damn, he looks so cute when he does that.

But wait. “Did you just say “we!”? in the penthouse?”

  “Hahaha, don’t worry the penthouse has 4 bedrooms so we're not going to sleep together.”

  “Thank God” did not cross my mind to sleep with him in one bedroom.

Right after that embarrassing moment, the airplane landed safely in New York’s airport. One of their hotel staff fetches us. I am too tired. The travel from London to New York takes 8 hours and 15 minutes.

We’re now here at the penthouse of their hotel. It looks expensive, even their spoon here cost $1000 each. I’m afraid to move something in the kitchen. I’m afraid to break something expensive. So I just ordered some food from the hotel staff. Vio, on the other hand, is busy in the lobby talking to some businessmen he knew.

I just finished taking a bath when the food arrive. Vio is still nowhere to find. I just eat in the kitchen peacefully. After that, I went straight to bed. I didn’t wait for Vio and just already.
