Every detail about her

Natalie Pov The next morning. I couldn't sleep all night. Who would? I'm not even worried about the stranger I kissed anymore. I'm worried about my life. I could still remember the vampire's face when he told me he'd see me soon. I looked at the small box in which I had packed my clothes. I needed to go to my friend's house to get my mind together. But I'm scared the vampire might find me. The thought of leaving my house permanently crossed my mind, but I couldn't. The house belongs to my parents. It was the only thing I had of them after I left my uncle's house. I sighed, not wanting to be reminded by the past. I sat on ny bed, thinking about what to do, when I remembered Daniel. I need to talk to someone before I run mad. I ran out of the room, knowing he might go to work anytime soon. And I was right. I met him as I walked out of my gate. "Good morning, Daniel." I greeted him. "Good morning, Natalie. What's wrong with you? Why are your eyes so swollen?" Daniel asked, looking intently at the dark circles under my eyes, but I wasn't bothered about that. "Are vampires real?" I asked without warning, which I knew got him by surprise. He looked at me for a few seconds before chuckling. "Did you spend the entire night watching horror movies because you aren't going to work today?" "I'm not joking, Daniel," I said, to which Daniel nodded. "OK. Yes, they are real... you're one of them.aroundwnly like walking around in the night. That's should be because you don't like the sun. He laughed, but I wasn't finding it amusing. I'm far from laughing at jokes right now. I saw a vampire, who is after my life, and I'm going crazy. "Of course, you know it's just a myth." He added with a sigh, noticing my expression. "Are you okay?" He asked, holding my hand, but I nodded. I didn't want to worry him or look like a fool. "Ok. I'm late for work now. Call me if there's anything." He said, to which I also smiled, and watched him leave. "Gosh." I ran my hands through my hair before going back into the house. I know I wasn't supposed to talk to people about vampires whatsoever, in case the guy comes back, but I couldn't help it. Vampires aren't supposed to be real, and I know people will call me crazy if I said I saw one sucking blood. In just a day. I kissed a stranger and got into trouble with a vampire I never thought existed. What more could happen? I carried the small box and made my way out of the house. I needed to think. Going to my friend's house, Liz, was the only thing I could think of. I won't even go to work on Monday. That I'm sure of. *** Niles's pov I leaned back in my leather office chair; the wheels gliding smoothly across the tiles as I moved. My eyes remained fixed on the file in my hands. "Natalie Ross," I called out her name as I kept looking at the file. Mark got me every detail about her. She works at B&D corporation and her surname. She's from the Ross family. "Same Ross corporation?" I muttered to myself. They run one of the best hotels in the country, and also an airport. "Why is she working for B&D when she's from such a family?" I asked myself. She didn't look like she was suffering to me, but she sure didn't look like she came from such a family. I'm sure her salary is not even comparable to what she would get if she was an employee at Ross Corporation. There was something more to it. "What if she's like you?" A voice in my head said. "I'm a vampire. Nothing more." I whispered, and dropped the file back on the table. My thoughts and feelings were short-lived when Mark entered the room. "Mr. Howard's daughter is here to see you." He said. "Let her in," I replied. It was surprising the girl had come to see me, but I wouldn't be surprised, especially after what had happened on the blind's date day. I stood from my seat and walked to my mini parlor. Just then, the door opened, and the girl walked in. "Good morning, Mr Flynn." She said to me, while I just gawked at her before clearing my throat. She wore a crop top underneath her black jacket and a miniskirt that stopped on her thighs. She looked beautiful, I won't deny it. Her dark brown hair was packed neatly in a tight bun, and her flowered scent perfume filled the air, and I must say they smelled great. "Good morning. Sit down." I said to her. She also took a seat opposite me and sat with her leg crossed on the other. "Would you like to drink anything?" I asked her, to which she shook her head. I also nodded, looking into her dark eyes. She started before I could talk. "We were supposed to have a date yesterday, until something ruined it. A girl kissed you... I know it might be one of your flings, so I didn't break her arm before she ran away." I kept looking at her. I didn't know her before. Just knew her from her dad, and the way her dad had talked about her, made me look confused. She's different from the person her dad talked about. "She's not one of my flings," I said to her, noticing her courage became confusion. "Who is she to you?" She asked. "No one. I don't know her." I replied. Her eyebrows raised, whether in anger or surprise, I didn't know. "You mean that human is just a stranger?" She asked, and I nodded. "Who goes around kissing strangers? I should have broken her arm before she got the chance to run." I heard her whisper to herself. Now I know she's completely different from what her dad said about her. "Why are you interested in dating me? I don't do dating." I said to her. I needed to clear the air before she sees ladies around me and start to break their legs. She chuckled. "I also don't date, but there's something I do, which is, getting whatever I want. You're the only enemy the entire vampires have." She uncross her legs, inching closer to the edge of the chair. "If i put it in the right words, you're a sin that shouldn't be committed, yet I want to be the only one who has done it" She said, but I didn't say a word. I just kept looking at her. Finally, i scoffed. I don't know whether to be angry or happy. She really is a narcissist. "You want to have fame of dating me?" I said, smiling. "Still, I don't do dating." "Then pretend. I won't interfere in whoever you have s*x with, if that's what you're worried about." She said, and I chuckled. "Pretend for a short period, and I can help you find that dragon's blood you want desperately." I looked at her. That was what I wanted. The dragon blood. I'll do anything to get it. And I don't care if I had to date her to get it. After all, she also looked beautiful, and she would sure be worth it. "This fake dating of yours. Does it also involve everything it should?" I asked her, and I knew she also understood what I said. "Sure, Mr. Flynn." "Then we have a deal," I said to her, to which she smiled before she stood up. "I'm sure you don't know or probably don't remember. My name is Claire." "Ok. Claire. Just call me Nile." I smiled at her before she left the room. I didn't know what she would gain in this deal, but I don't care. Finding that dragon blood is all I care about.
