Natalie's pov
I ran into my apartment and locked the door behind me. As much as I didn't understand what I saw, I couldn't ignore it.
"It has to be a dream." I said, tapping my face to wake up from the terrible dream I might be having. "No. That's impossible."
I couldn't believe I left my groceries on the street, but that was the least of my concerns. I hurried to the fridge, took a bottle of water, opened it, and gulped it down my throat. I even poured some on my head as if it would calm my racing heart.
"Oh my goodness!" I rest my back on the fridge, massaging my temples. I've never been so shocked and confused.
"I should call Daniel first. I must be going crazy." I walked hastily to the sitting room to pick up my phone, but as I entered, I noticed a figure sitting on the couch with one leg crossed on the other.
"Hello." He waved his hand at me.
I wished my eyes were playing tricks on me. "Ahhh! I screamed and fell to the ground. My racing heart increased. He was the same guy. The one with the fangs filled with blood. I had locked the door. How did he enter?
"Well. I wasn't expecting such a reaction." He said to me with a grin.
My body trembled, but I quickly pulled myself up to stand. I should run out of the house, but I was scared he might attack.
"Do... Do I know you?" I asked, not knowing what to say to him first, but he just looked at me and scoffed.
"And you think that's necessary right now? You saw something you shouldn't have, girl." He grinned at me, which made me feel more weaker in my knees.
I ran and picked up my phone on the center table. I was so scared, my hands kept shaking uncontrollably, but i didn't give up. I tried dialing a number. "Leave before I get you arrested." I threatened, thinking that might scare him, but my phone dropped to the floor when I heard.
"That's not a good idea, pretty face. Go ahead. It won't take a minute for me to finish what I came for." He smirked, stood up from the couch, and sauntered towards me.
I felt like life would escape out of me. The only thing my mind was telling me was to run for my life, but I couldn't move an inch. Cold sweat ran out of my face as he walked closer.
"Please... don't hurt me." I closed my eyes, awaiting whatever he wanted to do to me, but it never came, instead, i heard, "And why shouldn't I?"
He was standing in front of me, so close, his gaze fixed in mine that I thought I might suffocate.
"Please. I'll do whatever you want. I won't tell anyone. I'll even leave the city if that's what you want." I looked back down when I couldn't keep up with his intense gaze.
Suddenly, he scoffed. "And why would I do that?"
I looked up at him again. Now I know he would kill me. How would I persuade a night creature? Something I didn't even know existed. "I... I." I tried to avoid his gaze.
He took a step towards me again, his face inching a bit downwards to meet mine. "See you soon, pretty face." He whispered with a smile and walked out of the room.
I fell to the ground, holding my chest to calm my racing heart. I didn't know what emotions i was feeling. It still felt like a dream to me. I quickly locked my door and ran to my room.

Niles's pov
I watched her ran to her door and entered. I smiled, strolling towards the gate. "Didn't even lock it." I muttered.
I got to her porch. I was surprised. She didn't lock her door, but I let myself in anyway.
Not a big place. I walked to her couch and sat down. I could sense her, even though she was not in the room. I knew she was in the house, and I waited patiently.
Not too long, she came into the room. Her face looked wet. I'm not sure if it's sweat or something else.
Her gaze swept past the couch. "Ahh!!!" She screamed and fell to the ground.
I smiled. I was used to this. People fearing me. Humans, wolves. Any creatures. Who wouldn't?
"Hello." I waved at her. "Well. I wasn't expecting such a reaction." I said to her, still smiling, but the girl surprised me when she asked. "Do... Do I know you?"
Is she acting? She didn't remember who she had kissed. I sighed, feeling offended. She kissed me like i was a property she could toss away. She won't be forgiven.
"And you think that's necessary right now? You saw something you shouldn't have, girl." I said, raising an eyebrow. She was so scared, and I knew it.
I was planning the kind of death that suits her punishment when she took her phone, flashing it before me. "Leave before I get you arrested." She threatened me, and I couldn't help smile.
She was making matters worse for herself, and I'm enjoying that.
"That's not a good idea, pretty face. Go ahead. It wouldn't take a minute for me to do what I came for." I said, studying her expression, and I was happy I'm seeing what I want. The fear.
I stood up from the couch and walked towards her slowly. The previous ones all begged for their lives. Who is she that I'll let her go?
But as I walked towards her, I noticed something strange. Her blood. It felt different. She wasn't even bleeding, but the scent of her blood filled my nose as if I hadn't had blood before.
It didn't entice me. Actually, all blood doesn't. I'm a hybrid, and I don't depend on blood, but hers was different. It confused me about what to do about her. The first time such would happen to me.
Still, I didn't give up. I tried to intimidate her, but her blood scent was making things worse for me.
I just had to give up, even though not for long. "See you soon, pretty face," I said before leaving the room.
I placed a phone call to Mark as I walked back to the street. "Get me all the information about that human girl tomorrow," I said to him before hanging up.
This wasn't the end. She saw something she shouldn't have. Humans shouldn't know about supernatural creatures, even though only some humans know. If I don't kill her, others would.
And she seemed interesting. It won't be bad to have a taste of her. Her blood or something else.
