CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN JUNE 25, 9:30 AM MCLAIN HOME It’s Saturday morning, and I can sleep a little later, especially after being out late last night. We enjoyed the music and had a good time which happens only rarely anymore in our lives. The house seems quiet, and I stagger out of bed about 9:30 AM, which is very late for me. Coffee is in the pot on the stove, which I turn the heat to, washing my face and hands in the sink. I pull down a bowl for my favorite cereal and sit and wait for the coffee to get hot. I see a note from Blondie on the fridge, which reads the kids are at the neighbor’s house, playing with their son. Blondie has gone to work and should be home about 4 pm.
