CHAPTER SIXTY-TWO

This morning as I sit at my desk at the paper, my mind drifts to the officer doing the investigation in El Paso. I sure hope that he is thorough in his questioning of the honeymoon couple. Bob Davis’s life and future depend on what he finds out from them. Hope that he is detailed and takes lots of notes to be typed up later, or even records the interviews, which would be better. I am sure the captain sent an experienced officer, heard it was Detective Lou Steinberg, to El Paso as so much rests on his findings.
Another couple of days, and we will have some answers, hopefully.
