CHAPTER SIXTY-FOUR AUGUST 15 9 AM LEGAL EAGLE CAFE The good captain is right on time. He picks me up in front of the Legal Eagle at 9 am sharp. I have had my coffee and doughnut and purchased one for the captain to munch on the drive down to the state prison. He thanks me and eats and drinks as he drives at a high rate of speed on the open highway heading to Florence. Who’s going to arrest a cop? A captain in Arizona, to be exact, for speeding. There is no marked speed limit on the highway, so whatever is considered safe is acceptable. He finds driving at eighty acceptable. Glad I finished my coffee and doughnut before getting into the car. Wouldn’t want to spill it on his seats. As we wait for the prison guards to bring Bob Davis to a holding room, I can hardly contain my excitement.
