☉DANIKA I could feel every pore in my skin singing, alive with heat. Alive with fear. My boots pounded into the earth as I ran. Behind me, I heard Finarfin growl—a loud, unnatural thing that sparked memories into my mind and I was instantly transported back to that night so many years ago when my pack had been attacked and the cool night wind had been soiled with the sounds of screaming, the smell of fire and clouds of dust and ash. My body trembled with the memory of that night, and I stumbled several times, but I knew that I could not stop here.
