The Alpha, His Luna, and Her Rose

Chapter 8

Esmeralda's POV

The surgery lasted for a about 3 hours. I woke to Xavier's sweet voice in my ear. "Wake up my Luna! Our rose is out of surgery! She's in recovery!"

My eye open as I see Xavier standing over me. He's in jeans and a T-shirt holding a dress for me!

"I had Cole send Avery over to drop off clothes!" Xavier explained. Avery was Cole's mate! They have been together since they were pups! Everyone swore they were sole mates! Then Cole went off to train with Xavier. Avery was a mess. Turned out Cole was too, because he snuck out of training to go back and take her with him. They’ve been inseparable since.

"I thought you would want to change before seeing her." He says walking over to me! My thoughts trail back to Xavier and our rose! I grab the dress and quickly change!

"What room is she in?" I ask as we head out the door.

"I had her transferred to a private room in the recovery wing. I have one of our guards on the floor now!" Xavier explains. He can sense my confusion of the guard so he continues to explain! "It’s just a precaution! You know I protect what is mine!" He smirks pulling me into him!

I look up at him and smile as he kisses my lips passionately! We get to the elevators and press the 7th floor. The ride seems to take forever! My wolf begins to get impatient!

"Relax my luna, you'll wear a hole in the floor of the elevator." Xavier giggles in my ear.

I freeze in place realizing I have been pacing back and forth the whole time. I feel Xavier hands around my waist.

As soon as the door opens, I smell her! My wolf takes over.

"Esme... You don’t know which room..." Xavier calls as I walk straight out the elevator.

"I'll find her!" I smirk back at him. I turn and sniff the air. "Room 710 right!?" I say back at him.

Xavier just smirks "that’s my Luna!" He says as he walks over to me and gives me a kiss!

"May I go in first, alone Alpha Xavier!" I feel him hesitate but nod in agreement.

"I'll give you 5 minutes!" He says hastily.

I give him a kiss and walk into her room.

The Roses POV

I open my eyes to see her walking into the room. Her long dress, delicately draped on her body. My room was dark but the light from the doorway outlined her silhouette beautifully!

"You are an angel... I knew it" I say smiling through the pain. It hurt to take breath let alone talk, but I didn’t care she was here! Her presence soothed my pain.

"An angel....?..." She looked puzzled "I'm no angel…” Her face turning sad, “for if I were an angel, I would have saved you sooner!... I'm... I'm sorry. I should have tried harder." She tries to hide a tear in her eyes!

No my wolf cries inside! “My angel, don’t weep!”

I reach out for her hand. Her hands touch mine. My heart skips a beat.

"Don’t say that!" I say through heavy breaths "I prayed to the God's for a savior! I prayed they would show me mercy! And they did. They gave me you!” I hold her hand tighter. “If it wasn’t for you in my thoughts all those nights. I wouldn't have had the will to fight! I knew you would come for me! I just knew..."

I was short of breath so I had to stop. That was when she bent down and kissed my forehead. I felt my heart flutter. I could smell her lavender! My lips craved hers, they were so close! I couldn’t control myself! I felt the need as I pulled her down on me kiss her lips!

Esmeralda POV

A bit of shock comes across my face as I fall into her hospital bed. Her lips taste sweet on mine! Her feelings just as powerful as mine. I want her. I go to move, but I feel her cringe a little in pain.

My wolf freaks in terror as I push myself off her!

“We hurt her!” My wolf whimpers

"I'm sorry Luna!" She looks down, sadness coming across her face.

She thinks I am rejecting her! “NO!” My wolf screams!  “We just didn’t want to hurt you! We love you!” I feel my wolf whimpering! I move towards her cautiously.

I turn her face gently towards mine and kiss her lips with such passion the Gods were blushing. Or at least My beautiful Rose’s cheeks were. My wolf howls inside.

"Don't be sorry." I smile at her. "Your injured my beautiful rose and you need time to rest." I kiss her lips one more time as the butterflies reappear! "What’s your name or should I call you my rose for the rest of your life!?" I ask sitting on the bed next to her.

She was about to answer when Xavier walks into the room. Damn my 5 minutes is up!

He enters the room carrying 2 bouquets of flowers.

"I thought you two beautiful woman would like something to brighten the room." Xavier says as he sets the flowers on the table by the bed. He walks over and stands behind me next to the bed. Bending down he kisses my cheek and looks at our rose. “Please don’t let me interrupt.”

“Sorry… Alp.. Alpha.” She says looks down at her hands, avoiding eye contact with us.

“Xavier your scaring her...” I mind-link him, but before I can say anything to either, Xavier leans in next to her. Gently he put his hands on her face, and turns it upwards towards him. I can see the fear in her eyes. My wolf wants me to jump up and save her, but my heart knows that Xavier means her no harm.

“You are safe; our dear sweet rose. No one will ever hurt you again. You are my Luna's, and she is mine. I protect what is mine. Therefore, I protect you.” He smiles slightly and brushes her hair out of her face. My heart flutters as I see her relax in his touch. My wolf inside me purrs as I feel Xavier’s warm touch on us both! “Please our sweet mate, don’t be scared.”

“Mate… He called her OUR mate!” My wolf howls with delight in my head. “He has accepted her. She can be mine. She can be ours.” I calm my wolf and touch her hand.

“Amelia Rose… my name is Amelia Rose” she says looking at Xavier smiling. “You may call me Rose if you would like Luna.”

"She’s my Luna dear! I heard what you call her! She’s your angel! Don't feel so scared darling! I know you felt our connections!" Xavier looks over to me and grabs my hand. Grabbing Amelia hand, he continues. "You don’t need to be formal around us!"

My heart flutters, but my wolf is sadden some. “Please my Amelia Rose, call me Esmeralda or Esme. Please never just Luna. You are my mate. Never address me so formally.” I brush a tear from her eye as I kiss her lips. I feel her tense as she knows Xavier watching, but relaxes when she realizes everything is okay and he isn’t upset.

It was then the Doctor came into the room.

"Miss Amelia..." He looks up from his chart with a smile! "I’m glad to see your awake. Your surgery went well, you had a deep wound, but there is something I would like to discuss with you."

"We will be right outside!" Xavier says as I kiss her forehead and go to stand!

"Please stay! Both of you!" Amelia looks at us both with plea in her eyes "I don't want to be..."

The Dr. interrupts "are you sure miss? It’s pretty personal!"

My wolf snaps as I quickly stand “She is my mate! My rose!" Don’t you dare define her wishes!" My wolf in enrage!

I feel Amelia touch my hand... "My angel... It's okay!" Amelia says softly as she grabs my hand!

I feel my wolf calm almost instantly! That’s when I hear Xavier chuckle some under his breath!

"if I’ve know you were able to calm her that fast I would have rescued you months ago!" Xavier mind links Amelia and myself!

Amelia smirks a little!

"Thank you for your concern Dr." I hear Xavier’s business tone come out as he stands and calmly continues. "As you see Amelia is a lot calmer in the arms of her mates." He speaks as He gently lift Amelia and sits on the bed with her in between his legs! He gestures for me to come back and sit!

"Please continue Dr. Winton I feel our Rose is ready for your news!"

I snuggle into Xavier arms with Amelia next to me holding my hands as the doctor continues.

"As you wish Miss Amelia" the Dr. continues

"As you know you were stabbed in your stomach. However, the blade you were stabbed by was pure silver. We were unable to save the baby as I'm sure you were already aware."

I hear a small sniffle as I pull her close to me. Xavier tightens his arms around us both!

"I already knew... The baby was gone" I hear Amelia say... "I'm... I'm okay with this! It wasn't the right time."

 I go to reach for her face but she grabs my hand. Looking up at me she smiles!

 "I always felt it wasn't right! Like the baby was never meant for me. Is there anything else Doctor!?" She asks turning her attention to him.

I feel Xavier run his hand down my arm. He does the same for Amelia! I feel both of our wolves’ purr under his touch! It’s so relaxing and comforting!

"Actually there is," the doctor continues, "the stab womb was deep. I was quite pleased to see I was able to stitch everything together so well. You should be healed within 2 weeks." He takes a deep breath! "However, there might be some permanent damage."

I hear Xavier interrupt!

"WHAT PERMANENT DAMAGE!? Get to the point Winton!"

He's using his demanding Alpha tone! He doesn’t even use his business tone! He’s demanding answer! It’s his turn for revenge! I sense this tone before! I see the Doctor jump!

"Yes, sorry, Alpha." The Dr. says quickly, "Miss Amelia, I'm sorry to say but there is a chance you may never have kids!"

My wolf gasps! I feel Amelia start to shake. I gently pull her into me cradling her in my arms!

"Never..." I hear Amelia whisper
