We arrive at the Xavier office, but before we could knock Cole answers the door. He looks pale! Like he has barely slept! I can see on his face that he has been going over everything Esmeralda said a few days ago!
“Cole,” I hear Xavier call out! “Go be with your mate, and get some rest!”
“Alpha, I would prefer to stay and research more!”
“No Cole!” Xavier’s tone sounding authoritative.
“Please Cole,” I hear Esme plea! “I know it was a warning that came to me! We will help Xavier tonight, but please!! Go be with Avery!! I could sense a horrible feeling coming from your room when we walk by the stair! She’s scared too! She needs you!”
Cole just quickly takes off down the hall way! Esme and I walk towards the door of the office. We see Cole run up the stairs, he almost face plants half way up. Esme tries and hold back a laugh! Suddenly we here Cole burst through the his bedroom door!
“Avery I am so sorry” He screams!!
“When you two snoops are done,” I hear Xavier giggle.
Esmeralda and I turn to see Xavier still sitting at his desk! He is going through some pictures on is desk. “Anything we can help with?” I ask as Esme begins picking up papers!
“Just your presence alone is enough!” Xavier answers
“Our Luna felt like she needed to be close to you! Now I see why! Look at this place!” I joke! “It’s a huge mess!”
Xavier laughs as he gets up and walks over to us. He gives us both a kiss! “You hungry” he asks!
“Starving!” We both answer
“Let’s go get something to eat then!” He says “I could use a break!”
“Xavier, who is this!?” Esme asks
“That is Sir Charles. He’s another Alpha! Why do you ask!?”
“He’s the one from the dreams! He’s the man with the red eyes!”
“Are you sure!?” Xavier says
“I can recognize those eyes anywhere! Especially with that smug look!”
I walk over and look at the picture! I gasp at his face!!
“What is it!?” Xavier says
“That’s the man who sold me!” I say. I feel my hand start to shake! My heart starts to beat fast! It’s getting harder to breathe!
I feel Xavier grab my hand, and pull me into his chest! I feel Esme arms wrap around me too!
“I thought I was going to kill this man, for one reason, but know I have two!” I hear Xavier growl!
“This man will never hurt you two again!”
“What do you mean us two!?” Esme says looking puzzled
Xavier lets out a sigh!
“Tell me!” She demands
“He was the Alpha that had you captured!” Xavier blurts out!
I see Esmeralda shake her head as tears form in her eyes. “You said he was dead!”
“I thought he was the Alpha, but the man I killed was his Beta! The Alpha was not there the day I rescued you!”
“When did you find out!?” Esme says in her Luna voice!
“My love, I promise I only found out a few days ago!” Xavier said!
“HOW!?” Esme Screams
“Lisa!” Xavier yells back
“What!?” I yell
I hear Xavier let out a sigh! “When Lisa was going through the trials, I learned whose pack she was from! I found out that the pack isn’t run by an Alpha, but a Beta! The Alpha was Sir Charles. He was in Alpha of two packs I found out! His pack the moonlight pack, and his brothers pack, the Death Moon Pack.”
“Why didn’t you tell me!?” Esme tone sounded sad
“I was going to tonight! That’s why Cole was so upset! He wanted to find out more information first! I didn’t need more information though!” He says kisses her forehead!
“I knew Alpha Kaden’s death seem to happen at a weird time! They say it was an accident so I didn’t push it, at the Alpha meetings, but now that I look back I see the connections! Charles killed his best friend to get his land, his title! He made the Betas in charge of each land. He order the Beta and the rest of the leaders to capture you and punish you!” Xavier walks over and pulls Esme into his embrace! “I’m sorry if I upset you!” He continues, reaching out a hand to me Xavier pulls me into his arms! “I am sorry to you too my rose! I should have look into who sold you sooner!”
“Don’t be sorry, my Alpha!” I say “But what are your plans now!?”
“I am going to kill the bastard! I am going to take over his land! And I am going to end my Mate suffering from this asshole once and for all!” Xavier hugs us tight!
