Ball Preparations

Anthony smiled from molar to molar while looking at his little sister, who was now stunned with glee. He leaned forward and ran his fingers through her hair warmly: "Rest well, sister. Brother knows you're happy." "_" Juliet looked at her brother and didn't know whether to laugh or cry at her predicament. She was about to say that she didn't want to go to the ball. But before she could say anything, her brother had already beat her to the punch. Well, she couldn't blame him for thinking that way since the Old Juliet had made a fuss about attending the ball on countless occasions. And now, it looks like there was no stopping it. She, Juliet Capulet, would be attending the ball! Sigh... Juliet gave up on her fate and allowed her diligent brother to feed her after her meal arrived. The steamed porridge was so bland with a bitter horrid taste that made her feel like puking to the side. F***! What the hell was this? The taste of the porridge made her miss her former worst meal at the hospital. She used to take one special broth on Sundays and Tuesdays that made her feel distressed as a foodie. Yup! She had an agreement with her doctors and her parents that on other days, she could eat other amazing foods in the world that had been catered and prepared based on her health conditions. And on Sundays and Tuesdays, she would fall back on some special broth that tasted terrible. At the time, she felt like nothing could taste worse than those broths. But now, she knew she was wrong. Juliet forced her mouth to obey her brain, making it swallow the horrid porridge down her throat. Ugh~~ How can something taste so bad? Or could it be that food here, in general, was very poor? Then if that's the case, wouldn't she be forced into a life of misery for the next 300~500 years of her life? No! No! No way! As a foodie who spent time watching countless master chefs and masters from all walks of the earth cook, she wouldn't give up just like that. Yes!... Additionally, she had also read a lot of cook books too. She would watch Tv cooking shows and watch people eating these foods, imagining that it was herself eating them. So now that she was in an able and somewhat healthy body, wasn't this a great time to continue her cooking passion? (*^*) With the fiery flame of her goals lit within her, Juliet's eyes burned in determination, as if she were standing on a mountain of food like some heroic person with a cape. And Anthony, who saw this, felt more and more sure that she was happy and deep in thought about the ball instead. Well, he would definitely not stand against his sister on this matter and let her enjoy the ball! And just like that, the misunderstanding continued as both brother and sister bonded warmly with each other. . Soon enough, Anthony left, and Juliet closed her eyes to rest up for a bit after the long talk. She had wanted to walk around the beautiful, overly large Capulet property that spanned for hills and hills, but was quickly stopped and told to stay in bed. Even when she opted to visit the Gardens instead, she was turned down and forced back to bed mercilessly. No! That was even going too far. They didn't even want her to walk around the confines of her massive bedroom. "Miss, we are doing this for your own good." They said collectively, which made Juliet speechless when looking at the maids, who were all taking battle stances as if getting ready to subdue her if she made a move. She even had a hunch that if they could, they would definitely pin her sheets to the floor to stop her from lifting them. With that, she had no choice but to fall right back to bed. And in a blink of an eye, seconds, minutes, and hours passed by with her staying bedridden. It wasn't until the very next day when her parents came back, was she allowed to walk around. After all, the ball was tomorrow evening. So she had to re-measure her attire for last-minute checks and also choose the jewelry and shoes she would wear for the ball too. If not for her illness, these checks would've been done earlier on. But now, the professional squad had barged into the estate with their 'weapons,' ready to stitch, sew or cut anything that needed adjustments.  Plus, she also seemed to have lost weight from her illness.  One shouldn't forget that she was in a coma for a while before the Old Juliet died. So no matter how much they forced crushed liquid food into her mouth, she was still in a Coma and would definitely lose weight, looking pale and skinnier than before. Juliet stood on top of some circular stand with her hands spread apart. And in the meantime, the ladies kept treating her like a mannequin doll making changes to the outfit. And in the meantime, some people would hold up different shoes and ask her opinion on what she thought. Of course, this professional squad had also come with some latest model shoes and jewelry sets that they felt would work perfectly with the dress. Juliet stared at her figure in the mirror thoughtfully. The outfit was very tight in the bosom region but very loose from the lower breast area and flowed downwards like a waterfall of puffiness. "Can you all tighten the waist and let the gown flow after the lower waist region? And can you also... Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah~." Eh? Everyone listened to her request in shock before getting a whiff of inspiration instead. Hahahahaha! Genius! Genius! The little miss had changed the attire in a way that took off its heaviness. And this was what Juliet was going for, given her condition. The dress had layers and layers of fabric that almost seemed like it was choking and holding her down. Plus, what was up with that overly tight bosom region that seemed to push one's breasts to their chins? Tsk! Indeed. Even though the world here was different from the famous story back on earth, the clothing for the women was somewhat similar to the story's, with only a few changes here and there. Given the tight bosom region, Juliet quickly had them create a slit at the upper back, allowing her babies to breathe. Of course, she couldn't expose the slit, so she had them place a stylish, light and airy fabric bow at the back instead. Additionally, she removed a lot of fabric from the dress and tightened the waist, giving it more shape. In short, the changes she made were many, and the ladies all marveled at the final output in awe  "Lady Juliet! This design is too heavenly!" "Yes. Yes. With the latest fashionable love-shape style of the neck, I think it would work better without the long train." "Oh, Miss! I feel like we've just invented yet another new fashion style today. You will be the talk of the city after tomorrow's ball!" "That's for sure! The miss will definitely catch the eyes of many suitors!" "Yes. Yes! Just looking at her makes me, a lady, want to fall in love with her too!" (*0*) ... Everyone stared at their transformation in awe, feeling that even though the lady was ill, her beauty was hardly masked at all. She was indeed a stunner! And the modifications on her attire complimented her beauty even more. Damn! They knew that after the ball, the little lady would cause countless women to purchase an attire similar to the ladies instead. Hahahhahahahah!  Now, they couldn't wait for the ball to begin! But while they were jubilating about the matter, Juliet on the other hand felt like she had just dug an even bigger trap for herself. Eye-catching?  More suitors? This wasn't what she wanted alright?
