“Have you had enough of my love already?” Stephanie yelled at him.
“This isn’t just love. It’s more than that. You’re my mate, that’s forever. Right now, I’m just raging pissed!”
Jake stormed outside and took off to the woods. He shifted and wondered in his bear form. It had been three weeks since they had caught Chris, and against Jake’s better judgment, turned him over to the authorities. Stephanie getting dressed to go to work for her scum of a lawyer, Dave, infuriated him. He knew he was being presumptuous assuming she would quit after they busted Chris, but it seemed damned odd that she didn’t.
