Kane POV      Another dead end.      I growled in frustration, releasing my anger into the poor soul caught between my claws. Her soot covered face gasping for air as the blood gurgled from her mouth, splattering across my cheek. I gripped tighter, snapping the small girl’s neck like it were nothing more than a twig and tossed her limp body to the side. The corpse slammed against the trunk of a tree with a loud thud, sliding down to the ground as her face sunk into a puddle of mud formed by last night’s storm.       The rain had washed away much of my Luna’s scent, making it a lot harder for my trackers to latch onto her trail.
