Chapter 11 I was ugly before? Because you were blind

643 Words
The morning had gone by quickly after the sight seeing at the villa and trying her evening dress on. Seeing the well-prepared villa, Aurora finally let out a sigh of relief. The same engagement gala in her last life was just an “announcement dinner”, like a joke, but everything would change. However, thinking of announcing her relationship with Caldwell in front of everyone, Aurora still felt nervous, sensing an invisible pressure that scared her. In her last life, she had made so many mistakes, but was she doing the right thing for the moment? She could only move on step by step with caution. Aurora had learned many new things every day since her rebirth, and Caldwell seemed to be less strict to her than before. Such a slight change made Aurora relieved. Perhaps she could have another type of relationship with Caldwell Elliot other than being enemies. Finally, the engagement gala took place. Aurora watched her stunning face in the mirror, feeling at a loss. Was that really herself? The girl in the mirror had a fair face, red and sexy lips, a curvy figure in a pink dress, which was extremely charming and elegant. Even Dustin Moor, who was standing aside, felt amazed by her gorgeous looks. As he had got used to the ugly face of Aurora, he just couldn’t help teasing her when staring at the enchanting version of her. “My lady, look how attractive you are! I almost thought that you were another person! See how you dress, you just look completely different!” In the middle of his speech, Dustin Moor acted very dramatically, as if in this way, he was suggesting Aurora not to return to her previous appearance. “Mr. Moor, it means that you were blind before, you couldn’t see the true beauty of me.” With her unruly temperament and caprice, Aurora was never a humble person. “Ahem...” Dustin Moor gave a dry cough and walked away in silence. Meanwhile, he slandered her in his heart, does she really think that she was attractive before? It seems that Aurora has only changed her look but not her temperament, so it’s better not to piss off the Miss Unscrupulousness, in case of any trouble. Seeing Dustin off, Aurora smiled in secret. As expected, she had already given him a vicious impression, and he was scared of her. Gazing at her exquisite face in the mirror, Aurora felt satisfied. On one hand, such a charming fiancé could make Caldwell very proud; on the other hand, no one would recognize her. As Aurora went to an Elite school, surely there would be some schoolmates in her engagement gala. If somebody recognized her, she might have some unnecessary trouble at school. For this reason, it was better to look foreign to everyone. The gala was taking place. Aurora stood at the corner of the second floor, watching everyone toasting Caldwell and saying congratulations with fawning expressions. Caldwell Elliot, however, still kept his composure in an overweening and imperious manner, even in such an occasion. Such a man could shake the entire Portland city if he wanted, no wonder there were so many people trying to please him. Aurora took her time to watch everything happening downstairs. Right afterwards, she saw that Caldwell’s phone started ringing, and the man slowly walked to a place with fewer people. Suddenly, a girl hit on Caldwell in panic. “So sorry... Mr. Elliot, I didn’t mean it.” The girl lowered her head, and immediately picked up the box on the ground. Caldwell glanced at the box with the corner of his eye, seeing Aurora’s name on it. Caldwell slightly narrowed his eyelids and picked up the box, “What is this?”
