“I do not know what you are talking about,” Aurora told Harlan as they sat on the lawn in front of the school. “I have no interest in Felix Lien. In fact, I hate the man – I love another!”
Harlan was stunned by Aurora’s words because almost everyone thought that Aurora loved Felix. The idea that all this time she had actually hated Felix was hard to process. “Who is this man that you love?” he wondered. As he waited for an answer, he watched her closely, determined to discover if she was lying or not.
Aurora frowned and said, “I am not going to tell you his identity at the moment. It is not convenient to publicize it. I hope that you can understand and respect my decision. I am thankful to have you as a friend, but I can manage well my own relationships.”
