“Goddess?” Aurora laughed but didn’t respond to her…
On their way to school, Lune asked, “Oh, Aurora, did you ever heard about the ‘Jade travel plan’ from Caldwell?” her voice was gentle.
“Yes. what’s wrong?” Aurora pretended to reply to her casually, but gave her a sneer in secretly. “Do you want me to flatter him and help your family get a share on this project?” she turned to look at Lune with a big smile.
“Ha-ha…” Lune could only smirk as she found Aurora had said what she thought. She continued, “As you know, our family in Porland doesn’t have a high position. And this project is a good chance for us to turn over our backwardness!”
“I’m your best friend. For my sake, you will also do good for my family, won’t you? Added, you are the fiancée of Caldwell. He will truly promise you if you ask him. So, please!” She said those words full of expectation on her face and seemed very earnest
However, Aurora won’t help her anymore. Because in her previous life, she did help Lune, but she was also betrayed by Lune too. So, she won’t do anything for Lune.
“Lune, Caldwell may not listen to me and I have no right to interfere in his business either.” She pretended a hard look, and then promised her, “However, I will try hard to help you. Don’t worry.”
Lune was so pleased to hear her answer, “Aurora, you are really my best friend! Thank you!” she said happily.
Soon, the car arrived at the school gate. They got out of the car and went into the school together.
“Lune, do you have your breakfast? I’ll buy the breakfast for you.” a boy said.
“Lune, it will rain today. Do you bring your umbrella? I have prepared one for you.” another boy said.
In the short distance from the school gate to the classroom, Lune was stopped by several suitors. But she just refused them with a gentle smile, “Thank you for your kindness but I have prepared well.” So those boys had to leave in disappointment.
Lune was one of the school belles and so when she walked with Aurora, students will comment on them and mock Aurora. However, Lune just enjoyed those admiring looks as well as laughed at Aurora in secret, while she also pretended to be kind, “Please stop laughing at her! Rory is my best friend!” As a result, students around them didn’t stop laughing at Aurora but continued.
For Aurora in her previous life, Lune was skillful enough to hold her kind and generous image, and also made Aurora feel grateful to her. But unluckily, Aurora presently was not that stupid girl anymore! So she just kept silent as she was faced with those comments.
When they were ready to walk into the building, Aurora saw a boy in black, standing at a distance. He had a fine countenance but seemed to bear many secrets. He just stood there among everyone, staring at her with hate-filled eyes…
