Chapter 23: He goes down his own way

535 Words
As Aurora saw that boy, she was so excited that felt her heart paused beating for a second. Just when she wanted to call his name, that boy walked off immediately, it seemed like he was not willing to see her. “Hary… Please… Please don’t go.” seeing him walk off, Aurora hurriedly ran toward him with all her strength. Harlyn Foster was her brother! He is her related family! Although their relationship was as unfamiliar as strangers, he was still her brother. At that moment, those clear memories of her previous life had come into her mind suddenly, covering her eyes, she felt dizzy… Before, Aurora was a girl who only cared about love. When her mother had an accident, she was unaware of anything and still went on the way to another country for traveling. No one could connect with her because her phone was in airplane mode. On that day, her mother turned into a vegetable and her dear brother, who used to be shy and gentle, had changed into another person, indifferent and cold. He hated Aurora, his sister very much for she didn’t seem to care about her mother but only her love. However, Aurora felt wronged too. She thought it was not her mistake to pursue her love. She wasn’t willing to see her mother became a vegetable either. So, she never said sorry to him and their relationship became broken. After that, their family had many problems. Harlyn had totally changed after he lost his mother and suffered from his father’s affair. At last, he began to go down his own path. No one could stop him… Thinking of these memories, Aurora felt her tears welling up quickly. Harlyn went directly towards the laboratory while Aurora ran behind him. As he realized that Aurora intended to catch up with him, he started to run, attempting to shake her off. Seeing his figure running upstairs, she panted to shout at him, “STOP! HARY! Do you really hate me so?” she was too tired but still hurried saying, “I’m your sister! Why are you so cold-blooded, we share the same blood? You’re even unwilling to talk to me?!” her tone was sad and full of guilt. Aurora felt very regretful now. If she would have cared about her brother more, maybe he wouldn’t behave this way. Tears welled up again as she thought of this. Harlyn finally stopped for he heard she was sobbing. He turned around and stood to look at her. “What’s the matter with you? Don’t follow me if you have nothing to talk about with me.” His words were as cold as ice, which froze Aurora’s heart. However, Aurora still felt fortunate that he could stop in his tracks for her. Biting her lips, she looked at her brother with pleading eyes and nervously said, “Hary, I was wrong. It was all my fault. I feel very sorry about you and… Our mother. But could we stop being indifferent to each other?”
