LeeAnn pov

we were ready and just chatting away downstairs when mom mindlinked us and told us we are being missed in the grandhall, s**t i thought i could get away from going but mom figured it out, i mindlinked her back,

“We will be there shortly. We were just chatting and forgot about the time.”

"Young lady, if you don't get your butt here right now, i will come there and drag you by your ear.”

‘Okay okay, mom, geesh, we are on our way now.” My mother can be feisty at times. but once she gets that way, i don't want her anymore upset than she was now,

‘Alright girls let's just head out before my mother walks into the doors and drag us to the alpha ball, we giggled as we linked arms and walked out the door, it only took us a few minutes to get to the grand hall so i don't see the big deal about us being a little late. Once we reached my parents, they turned to us, looking at us smiling,

“It's about time you beautiful ladies got here. You're missing out on a good party.” i stopped from rolling my eyes, if i missed it all together i wouldn't had mind it at all, i would be lucky if i didn't get rejected a fourth time, i didn't care anymore, i was meant to be alone and if alone i was going to be i was fine with that. Walking behind my parents we entered the building, i wasn't sure how many packs that were here now, but we had a building full of people, The Alphas had their meeting and they where up and going and mingling with the other packs, and when i say packs they were mingling with the single she wolves that was here, Toni went her own way, she took one sniff looked at us smiling than took off, Izzy did the same thing., I knew what that meant, they had found their mates therefore they are going to look for them, I mingled with a few people and had a few drinks, this one female just kept watching me and i was about to asked her what her problem was when i remembered what my mother had said, no fighting with other packs., s**t fine, so most of the night i ignored her, she walked away with some friends giggling and looking at me, f**k this i was walking over there when my mother grabbed my arm making me look at her,

“LeeAnn, Don’t it's not worth it, those kind of girls are just jealous so don't mind them, let them do what they want to do, but remember if they try to hit you or anything else you know what to do, is that clear?” i nodded knowing what my mother meant, if they try and it me, i hit right back just as hard, but harder, I went to the mini bar and had a few drinks, than i decided to go sit down, i went to the back of the room where there were tables, i noticed someone sitting in the back, i really didn't give a s**t at the moment, I walked over there with a drink in my hand sitting it down at the same table, than i moved a chair sitting down, i noticed the guy was huge he barely sat in his seat, he had a glass of something sitting in front of him i noticed a bottle beside him, it was a bottle of whisky, I was trying not to look at him but a part of me wanted to know what he looked like i was drawn to this stranger. so I turned to say hi, and than turned back around, i noticed people where looking at me or him with fear in their eyes, what the f**k was their problem, lifting my drink i brought it to my lips drinking than set it back down, i kept feeling eyes on me, this was starting to piss me off, I turned to look at them, they were walking slowly by looking our way and when they saw me catching them they would look in fear and hurried away, alright thats it, I leaned back whispering to this huge guy,

“Why are they looking at us? They look terrified, is it because of me?” I asked, turning to face the man next to me, but he just chuckled. I fully turned to look at him. Why was he laughing ? He told me what was going on,

“It's not you. They're scared of little pup. They are scared of me and because you're the first one that has ever sat next to me without being forced to. Maybe I should introduce myself, I'm Xandor, the Alpha King.” He replied, leaning closer to me, causing me to look shocked, oh s**t am i really sitting by Xander the Alpha King, no wonder people were looking with fear in their eyes, i didn't see anything scary about this man, I don't see the big deal, he doesn't look blood thirsty at all, But our moment got cut off by someone clearing their throat, We both turned from looking at each other to the throat clearing peron, It was that girl that had kept staring at me most of the night, do i need to tell her i don't swing that way, i'm strictly dickly, even though the only time i ever seen one is on tv or in a magazine that my friends had brought over, and sometimes i don't even think those were real, than she walked closer to the king, her hand running up and down his arm,

‘Xander, i've been looking all over for you baby, if i would had known you was sitting here all alone until this one came along i would had been here a lot sooner, Xander growled shoving her hand off of him, I could tell he did not like this girl and how dare she call him baby, i stifled a giggle when she looked shocked when her hand fell from his arm, she looked over at me glaring like i was suppose to be scared or something,

"If you don't mind, me and my man need to have a conversation., so if you can get your skinny ass up and tiptoe away from here,” did she just call me a skinny ass, i am far from being a skinny ass. so i picked me drink back up, putting it back to my lips and drinking the last bit of it. Then i turned around to look at her,

“Oh, you're still here? I'm sorry, can you get me another burban, please, and make it quick? I'm really thirsty.” Xander laughed and told the girl.

“Laura, I told you not to try anything while we are here, didn't I? I am not your man. You are not my woman. Nothing ever happened between us, and I do not want you. If you do not leave us now, I'll get her father the alpha put you in a cell for two weeks after those two weeks i'll think about coming to get you out. Now leave and go find your mate.” oh she was mad alright she stomped her foot then walked away, i heard her softly growl at me, but all i could do was shake my head those girls give good girls bad names, i hope her mate could handle her.
