I walked inside the classroom with Elijah right beside me and waited for the comments, but nothing came. Everyone was surprisingly not even paying attention to me and the ones that were; they were smiling towards me.
I didn’t put the effort to smile back because they did not deserve my forgiveness and headed to my desk like usual. I was internally thrilled with the change though and smiled, remembering that Carson did all this; how, I had no idea, but I loved it.
“So, I was thinking to take you to your favorite place in the city. You used to love it and we can hang out there like the besties, we used to be. What do you think?” Elijah asked as soon as we settled in our seats.
