Missing: Day 2

~Savia Falling asleep in the cell again was difficult, even more so now that there was a strange man in the cell next to me. All night long I would hear him groaning or sharply inhale. I know Vex said he would heal quickly and be fine for questioning in the morning but as morning drew closer and closer, he didn't seem any better. Now the first rays of morning have begun to shine into the cell, breaking up clusters of darkness and I can still hear him groaning. Perhaps we should try to wake him up before they come down and do it themselves. I can't imagine they would be gentle about it. Vex says softly. She was right. I could only imagine the torture they would rain upon this man if they found him sleeping and still in pain. I walk over to the bars between us and look down at him, still a crumpled heap on the filthy floor. The sunlight giving off enough light to finally see him better. He had bruises and dirt streaks all along his body but I couldn't see any trace of all the cuts that caused all the caked blood on his skin. Scars instead left lasting proof of the fight he was in last night against this ruthless pack. He winced in his face as he drew in another sharp breath. It makes me wonder how badly they must have hurt him if this is considered quick healing. He coughs and moves to his side, the first full movent he's made since landing there. "H-." I clear my throat and try again. "Hey. Hey you." He gasps quietly and goes still, as if he's playing dead. "Hey. You should get up before they come down here to question you." I say. Hopefully he can at least listen if he doesn't want to acknowledge me speaking to him. I go and sit down on my cot, crossing my legs and plopping my head onto my raised hand, arm resting on my knees. Shuffling movement makes my ears focus on the sound and I can tell he's getting up, regardless of how much pain he must still be in. I look over in his direction to see him sitting on his cot and staring at me. He's not looking at me like a fellow prisoner. He's staring at me like he knows me or something. I tell Vex, my only solace in here, the only one who hears me out. Probably or something. Vex replies, a smile can be felt through our connection and I roll my eyes, not holding back my own grin. I look back at the guy and he's still just staring, focusing on my face. "Can I help you?" I ask, feeling more brave than ever for talking to someone strange now that there were bars separating us. He quickly whips his head away as if he were a scolded child who was caught looking at something they shouldn't have seen. A few minutes pass and then the clink of the lock on the door can be heard unlocking, the heavy door creaking as it's opening. In walks the man from yesterday, a girl who looks like a low ranked woman, and a man who had a wild type of look in his eyes. Hey, I remember that look. Vex sounds confident in her identification. That's the man of the wolf who tackled us on the full moon. Oh good, the violent one is here. "Nice to see you're both awake. That means less trouble and work for me this morning." Says the man from before. "Before we begin, I'm Lucen, the Beta of this pack, a pack I'm sure both of you know of now. This is the Gamma, Reyno. I'm sure both of you are aware of how we don't do anything that would upset Reyno now, eh?" He looks at the man and it became very obvious that he was the one who hurt h so badly his healing was working overtime. "Don't worry about this sweet little Omega here. Sally is just here to clean up any blood that spills on the floor." Vex scoffs in my mind. She's clearly only here to be a scare tactic. These floors are disgusting. They wouldn't make her clean up blood when it looks like it's stained the floors already. I bet she doesn't even want to be here. I agree. She looks scared. "Who do we want to question first?" Lucen paces back and forth in front of our cells before stopping I front of mine. "You." He half growls, eyes lighting up, clearly expecting a reaction from the guy. "I told you before. I didn't know anything about a pack, territories, or otherwise. I came here accidentally." I say. "I just want to make a phone call." "Oh sure. But you know that it's impossible to prove you won't just be calling in reinforcements or other rogues like this sack of garbage." He jerks his head in the direction of the other man, some of his bruises now gone, others fading guickly. He's looking at me, still with a perplexe look on his face. "I have no idea who that man is." I say fully and uninterested. It's the truth but clearly not what this man is interested in hearing. "So you say. I'll come back to you." He walks menacingly over to the man's cell and stares at him dead in the eyes. "Who are you?" The man lifts his head to show his neck and points at a long deep red line surrounded with black, purple, and yellow bruising. Along with the line was what looked like the shape of a paw having pressed heavily against his neck. Lucen practically growls and shoots an angry glance at Reyno, looking like he wanted to tear him apart as well. "You weren't supposed to go for the neck. Now we have to wait to figure out who's sending rogues into the pack." Reyno only grins, satisfaction dripping off of every inch of him. He was proud of his work and I find myself grateful that we submitted immediately and that Lucen, at least for the first night, believed that it was my first shift. I don't like how he's all crazy now. He seemed like a much more decent and understanding man when he stopped Reyno from killing us. Maybe someone's forcing him to get answers, and fast, since two rogues entered the territory within less than twenty hours. I don't know. It doesn't seem right. We look at Lucen more and, focusing I can see that his eyes hold a faint glow to them. Reyno'e eyes too had a sinister color in them. Nope. That just isn't natural. Vex cowers inside mind. She was usually so full of sass and commenting on literally everything. This isn't like her. If she's scared of something then there must be good reason. "We'll be back later. Someone will be down with food." Lucen growls and then he and Reyno leave. I sit down on my cot and stare out the little window near my wall. I was just beginning to daydream when I heard the bars diving the cells getting knocked on. I whip my head around to see the man wave and beckon me over. "Hey." He coughs, clears his throat, and continues. "My name is Lee. What are you here for?" "I'm Savia." His eyes briefly glint at the sound of my name. It's as if he knows something about me or knows me. "I'm here over a misunderstanding. I had my first shift on the last full moon and we just ran, no idea it was right into someone's territory." Lee nods before speaking again. "Congratulations on your wolf and your shift." His voice is cracking and it sounds like he has a lot of trouble forcing out the words. I wonder how hard his neck was injured to cause this. ~Lee Savia. I'm sure I've heard of that name before. I don't believe we've ever met but I am 100% sure I've heard this name. I say what I can to her. I don't want to seem like a creep in the corner who doesn't talk, only looks around and stares. I listen to her tell me about the events of her life since her birthday, how terrifying it had been when she turned a few nights ago for the first time, not understanding what was happening to her. I learn that she was raised as a normal human girl and how she had no idea werewolves were even anything more than urban legend and fairy tales. As she talks I start to study her, trying to place her or her name anywhere I can. She's pretty. Long white blonde skinny figure, very striking eyes. She's also so tiny. I don't think I've ever seen a tinier wolf. It's a little adorable to be completely honest. She looks like those wolves the older pack members used to talk about that were from this area. My wolf, Remi, says to me. I guess kinda. I can't for the life of me think of anything useful about that pack to make a clear comparison though. This puzzles me greatly. Where have I heard that name? "Lee?" She asks, startling me out of my thoughts. "Hm?" I say, now completely focusing on her. "I was asking you about why you're here." I deeply sigh. I swore to secrecy and honestly didn't expect to live through this mission. One small mishap though, no one else was supposed to be here. "I was in wolf form. A patrol must have been passing through and smelled me. I was walking along the border and must have accidentally stepped over it. Complete accident, just like you. I was looking for someone I had heard about. When the patrol tried to stop me, I shifted and I apologized. I then tried to explain myself but they attacked anyway so I defended myself as best I could. They were determined though, something about a lot of rogues coming around." I lied easily, only speaking half truths. She looked away and nodded, as if that all made sense and no one could lie to her. She breathes deeply and sighs."Yeah, sounds about right. This world of yours - ours," she says, still not use to referring to this as a part of her and who she is, "is dangerous and very all or nothing cut throat. I never knew such a world existed. So strange too, and scary." "It'll all be okay, Savia. We'll get out of here." She shakes her head. " The wolves here are so violent. They are nothing like my mate described." "You've found your mate?" "Yes." She smiles and it's obvious her thoughts are now somewhere completely different. "His name is Drake. If I could only call him he could come get me, straighten things out with this pack. They haven't let me make any calls though. They think I'm going to call in more rogue reinforcements." Her eyes roll and she sucks in her lips, biting them gently between her teeth, fighting back tears. "It's beentwo days and I can't even begin to imagine how worried my mom is or my friends. Brooke was absolutely horrified when she found my ripped clothes and phone." Her tears start to fall when the clunk of the lock was heard. A tiny little Omega pushes in a serving cart holding two trays. She hands both of us a tray after removing the lid to expose its contents. An apple, an end slice of bread, and some sort of broth. She then hands each of us a small cup with water in it. Breakfast is served.
