Missing: Day 1

~Savia Sunlight starts filtering in through the little window in the cell I'm in and I start to feel strange. Are you ready to be you again? The time has come to change back. Will it hurt like this transformation did? She doesn't answer me but I feel that knot inside me start to form again and my chest gets tight. Squeezing my eyes shut as tight as they can be, I brace myself in advance for the feeling of torture, but it doesn't come. Instead I feel like I'm being pushed and liked in all directions until it stops. Opening my eyes again I look down and see that I'm me now. I stumble a little getting on my feet again, my body used to being on all fours for the past 6 odd hours. I turn to see the clothes set out for me and find a baggy t shirt and shorts just a little big on me. I look like I rummaged through my high schools lost and found box. "Miss, are you dressed?" Came a voice from outside the cells. "Yes." I call back before hearing the doors main lock click and the door creak open. The man stands in front of my cell door, not unlocking this one however, arms crossed at his chest. "Do you know where you are?" "I'm assuming someone's pack prison." "Yes, but do you know where?" The question is strange, I had given him his answer, why ask again. When he sees me look puzzled he sighs and places one of his hands on his forehead. "You are at Moonlake. One of the packs in this area. Unfortunately for you, we don't take kindly to rogues here. Why did you decide to enter our territory? Also, what did you do to become a rogue before you even had your first shift? That is, if it truly were your first." I gulp slightly and take a deep breath. "I apologize for entering your territory. I am unaware of boundaries and territories. It is something I can tell I must learn. It wasn't a fully made decision to come here or even in the direction of this pack. We were just running. I shifted alone at a party with friends and it was horrifying. No one warned me about shifting, told me when I would, or how painful it would be. I was completely caught off guard and then Vex, my wolf, just ran away because my friends were trying to find me." "Why didn't you know any of this? The first full moon after an 18th birthday comes the change. And yes, it is absolutely excruciating the first time. Are there no other rogues with you?" "I was abandoned in. a hospital as a baby and adopted and raised by humans. Until recently I knew nothing, I thought werewolves we're fairy tales. When Vex came to me I thought I was crazy." "That's highly unusual. I have never known anyone to abandon their pups. Pups are legacies, bloodlines. Why should I believe that?" " Please." I beg him, tears starting to rim my eyes. "My mother must be so worried about me. My friends were so scared when they found my torn clothes and phone on the ground." My tears start to stream down my face. "My mate is probably concerned too." "Right." He said, the look on his face showing disbelief. "You say you just found out about werewolves and packs and territories but have a mate? That's unlikely." "His name is Drake. That's all I know but he's from around here. Please just let me go." "I don't think we're done just yet. Breakfast will be brought to you." With that he turns and leaves the cells, the doors audibly locking behind him. No. I can't be stuck here. I can't be a prisoner. My heart drops heavy and hard. I can't contain myself anymore and I begin to sob, my whole world crashing before me. I rush to the cot, feeling dizziness overwhelm me. The cell starts to sway and it's hard to breathe. Then, all is black as I pass out. ~Drake I feel like I'm looking at my phone every couple of minutes. It has never taken Savy this long to text me back before. I know last night she was having a party with her friends and she said she would call me when she woke up. It's now 6pm and I'm getting worried. Maybe she got grounded and had her phone taken away? Sage chimes in, also filled with worry. This feels different. She would have called us in the morning while still at the bonfire site. It wouldn't matter if she got grounded, she still would have had a chance to call me before going home. I furrow my brows, deeply concentrating and trying to figure out what may have happened. Knocks sound at the door and I hear it open. I look up to see Vivienne. She lifts her chin in my direction and smirks some. She's wearing a tight belly shirt which showed her cleavage and shorts that barely covered anything. The look in her eyes clearly asking 'see what you're missing out on?' "So, Alpha Drake." She said while rolling her eyes, still smirking. "You've been in here all day staring at your phone with this puzzled look on your face." She crosses her arms and raises an eyebrow. "No message from your supposed little mate? Maybe she dumped you. Or better yet, maybe she doesn't really exist." I sigh deeply before replying to her. "Vivienne, you have some nerve. Not only by coming in here and mocking my alpha title, but by bringing your attitude and speaking of my mate, your future Luna, as if she doesn't exist." Her eyes flare in response and she scoffs. "Still talking to me like you didn't promise me forever. Like you and I didn't share a bed or share our bodies with each other. Like I'm nothing. For some whoever who no one else in the pack has even seen or met." I am so tired of her s**t. She's been like this since you told her off last night. Causing scenes and hanging off of every unmated male she sees. Sage replies in agreement. I stand up and walk closer to her. The look in her eyes changing from cockiness to ill concealed fear quickly. "I have been more than patient with you, Vivienne." I use my Alpha voice to make my point clear. "You are correct in the way you and I were but you are also correct in that you are now nothing more to me than a wolf of your rank. You will NOT be Luna of this pack and I will no longer tolerate your attitude towards me or my mate, who WILL eventually join me here. And when she does, I expect you most of all to treat her with the respect she deserves." Vivienne begins to tremble. "Y-yes, Alpha. I will know my place." She leaves quickly. I could feel my blood pressure had risen greatly while she was here and it was still high when she left. Through my anger I couldn't help but wonder, what if she was right? Why hasn't Savia texted or called me at all today? It wasn't like her. ~Savia I keep pacing back and forth in this cell. No one knows where I am and the people delivering my meals won't speak to me or even look at me properly. I'm raging and I've paced this cell so much today I swear there should be a path rutted out by now. Calm down Sav. This solves nothing. It solves EVERYTHING! No, it doesn't. You want to get out of here then we need a plan. You doing that isn't helping anyone and you know it. If they would just let me get ahold of Drake he can help sort all of this out. But that's not helpful either, Sav. There are thousands of packs and multiple ranks in each of them. We don't know Drake's pack or his rank so we can't even give them a start of who to look for, or if they even would. We need to get them to believe us first. She was right. Without a plan, or any extra information, we were stuck here in this cell. Best I could do is try to talk to the next person who comes through those doors. As soon as I sit down I hear the lock clink and I jump back up to stand. "Excuse me!" I blurt out before they've even pushed the door fully open. "I wish to speak with someone in charge." Way to go, Karen. Wanting to speak to a manager. I roll my eyes and wait for whoever to enter. What I wasn't expecting was that whoever it was would be dragging in another prisoner. I watch as they drag him to a cell next to mine and throw him in it. He's bloody and unconscious by the looks of things and they didn't treat him as kindly as they did me. I wonder what he's done to get injured so badly. It's not too bad. He'll be healed and ready for questioning by tomorrow morning. I squint up my face a tilt my head to the side, confusion going crazy in my mind. Vex sighs. It's a wolf thing. You'll heal so much faster than you would if you hadn't shifted and didn't have a wolf. The man who brought in the other prisoner was the same one as earlier who questioned me. "What do you want?" He says, voice full of agitation which was also reflecting on the features of his face. "I want to make a phone call. Just one. I don't care if you listen in on it. I just want to call Drake." "Your mate? How do I know he's not an accomplice to some rogue plot? That man," he jerks his head towards the now filled cell, "is a rogue too, just like you. Maybe he has some information on you or you on him. Maybe you're in this together and he came looking for you when you didn't return from your little jaunt in the territory." "I swear to you I have no idea who that man is. I just want to call Drake. I know his number. He can clear everything up and vouch for me. Please." He sighs heavily and narrows his eyes at me. I'll speak with my Alpha and you'll have an answer sometime tomorrow. I'll send down an omega with your supper." He practically snarls at me before leaving the prison. They really don't like rogues here. He wasn't exaggerating. You thought he was? The man in the next cell coughs and then groans in his sleep. I walk over to the bars that separate us and look at him better. He has tanned skin marred with bloody gashes and dark hair matted with dried mud and bits of shredded plant material. Must have been one heck of a fight. Unlike us, he must not have instantly surrendered. This world of werewolves seems so cutthroat. I'm not sure I want to be part of it anymore. He'll I wasn't sure I wanted to be part of it in the first place. I didn't ask for this. I didn't ask to be a wolf raised by humans. I didn't ask to shift into a wolf and get kidnapped all in one night. I wonder if he simply was in the wrong place at the wrong time too.
