Episode 1
"S-Senpai! Y-Yamete!?!"
Lena couldn't help but drool at her, Hana. Yumeko Hana was a regular third year Japanese high school student. She had a tiny mole on the side of her nose that distinguished who she was by such a feature. But it wasn't just her mole or beauty that captured the hearts of many. Hana was also very gorgeous as a whole. Her posture held so much elegance from the way she walked to the way she sat. The way she spoke was so soft and sweet, it was music to anyone's ears even if she wasn't singing, and no one forget the girl was book smart. Hana had the ability to learn things quickly, whether it was a lesson in class to how to defeat the monster in a video game. But there was one flaw to such a person as perfect as she.
Hana was an anime character.
Yes, an anime character. That was the only thing Lena Davis hated about her.
Yumeko Hana was not real.
"Hey Lena" The girl looked behind her to meet eyes with the person who called her name. "You gotta sit farther from the tv or your eyes are going to hurt in the morning."
"Don't act like you don't do the same, Rose." Lena replies before returning back to watching her anime on the television she sat roughly two feet away from. With a sigh, Rose returns back to looking at her phone, scrolling through body mists and perfumes on sale at a nearby store.
"Why isn't there any food in the fridge?!" A voice shouted from the other room.
"Because you ate it all you idiot." Rose says back to the person.
"Hey, who are you calling an i***t you squirrel?" The person says as her figure is seen at the door frame into the living room.
"You, you dumb ass racoon."
"How many times do I need to tell you to stop calling me a racoon? I am not a racoon!" The other says annoyed with her friend.
"Sure you aren't... dumb bitch." Rose says, still scrolling through her phone. Not long after, the other girl, Ellie, throws a water bottle at Rose's head. The two began to bicker like every other day but by now Lena was used to it and didn't care as much as most people with no patience would.
"Ellie!" Rose shouts. "Why did you throw a water bottle at me?!"
"Because you called me a ‘dumb b***h’!" Ellie replies. "Asswipe!"
"Pig!”
"Virgin!"
"Enough!" Lena shouts before glaring at the two from her seat in front of the television. "Quit it you two! You're so loud!"
"S-sorry..." said Ellie and Rose, looking down with guilty eyes as they stood side by side a couple feet away from Lena. Getting scolded by one of their best friends who basically acted like their mom 24/7 sucked. With a sigh, Lena looks back at the television before quietly apologizing to no one but the anime character on the screen and pausing her anime. She gets up, dusting her butt from potential dust on the floor and places her hands on her hips, looking at her two friends.
"Get ready, we're going shopping, and Ellie, you're going to be paying the majority of it because you ate all of our food." Lena says sternly as she points a finger at the mentioned friend with a big glare on her face.
"Huh?! Why!" Ellie whines and gets on her knees pouting at Lena with teary red eyes, but Lena will not fall for it. Not again at the least.
"Nope, no whining, you're paying most of the total and that's final. Now go! Change!" The girl says, heading to her room.
"Yes sir!" Rose says jokingly as she salutes with happiness shown on her face after knowing she wouldn't need to spend so much.
"Okay..." Ellie says weakly, dragging the 'a' as her hands and knees are on the ground with her head hanging low, seeming to be in despair. Slapping Ellie's butt, Rose giggles before running off before the girl could hit her back. "Ow! Rude!" Ellie shouts, annoyance obvious on her face, getting up to chase Rose to her room before the door closes.
Hearing the two stomp around the hallways made Lena sigh as she changed out of her shorts and baggy white shirt to black sweatpants and a hoodie. She neatly folded her used clothes to wear later when she came back home and placed them on the edge of her bed. She lightly picks up her keys from her dresser, but freezes in her spot as she spies a picture frame in the corner of her eyes.
Dropping the keys back onto her dresser, Lena’s hand instead reached for the simple grey picture frame and smiled. In the picture was a picture of herself as a little girl, smiling wide as she held a big box of legos in her hand. Behind her sat her parents also smiling. Lena’s mom held the little her in the picture so tight in her arms. The picture brought memories back to when she was little, back when her parents weren’t as busy overseas as they are now. Lena sighs before putting the picture frame back in its spot and grabbing her keys.
“Are you both done yet?” Lena asks as she walks down the hallway to the front door.
“Coming!” Ellie shouts from her room before pushing it open hard enough for the door to hit the wall. The girl comes running in simple blue ripped jeans, white shoes, and a white top. “Where’s Rose?” She asks as she now stands besides Lena in the front.
“Rose always takes a long time getting ready for anything.” Lena says. “Rose! Let’s go!”
“One more minute!” The two heard Rose shout from her room.
“If you don’t hurry up only you and Ellie are both paying for the groceries!” Lena states.
With that said, the door to Rose’s room is immediately kicked open and the girl comes rushing to Lena and Ellie, her cheeks all puffed up before huffing loudly. “I was trying to choose which perfume to use.” She says.
“We’re going to the store. The heck you think we’re going, a party?” Ellie sasses. Rose rolls her eyes.
“All right, let’s get going then.” Lena says before turning around and leaving the apartment with Ellie and Rose tailing behind her. Locking the door, the three head to Lena’s car. Once all buckled up and ready to go, they are off to the closest store.
