Anime Reality

Episode 3

Riiiiiing.

Lena groaned at the sound of her alarm clock going off.  She turns over and dismisses the alarm on her phone before closing her eyes once more to go back to sleep. But it was different this time, her hand landed on something soft.

Furrowing her eyebrows, Lena squeezed her hands on the soft touch. "Mmm!" Immediately, Lena's eyes widen in surprise at a voice.There laid a figure on her side who was still sleeping, but it wasn't just any figure, it was a female. 

"AHH!" She screams before launching up from her bed and falling onto the ground, making a loud thud.

"Lena!" Ellie and Rose shout. The two got out from their rooms after hearing their roommate scream and slams the door open, seeing a shocked Lena staring at her bed from sitting on the ground. Following what she was looking at, Ellie and Rose ended up reacting the same way. 

"What the f**k Lena." Ellie said. "You brought a girl home?" 

"What?!" The girl mentioned says and looks at her friends. "I didn't! I don't even know who the heck she is! I woke up from my alarm and bam, she's right there!" 

"Then who the heck is she?" Rose questions, getting closer to the unknown girl. 

"I don't know! All I want to know is how did she get into our house, specifically my room!" Lena whispered as she finally gets up from the ground ands going closer to the figure with her two roommates. 

But with one glance at the girl, Lena noticed certain features, ones she knew all too well. The sleeping anonymous girl had a mole on the side of her nose, right above her lips and even one under, and on her chin. Even while sleeping, she held this elegant, princess-like aura. Her hair was straight and silky brown, cut short to her shoulders. Her face was thin but long with a noticeable jawline and pointy nose. Her lips plump and full, somewhat kissable. 

For some reason, Lena couldn't think of who this girl reminded her of, but it was on the tip of her tongue. Once again, an alarm went off from her phone, signaling it's been five minutes since the last alarm. The sleeping beauty stirs and lightly groans at the noise, making the three girls nervous for the girls awaken. 

But once she opened her eyes, the three couldn't help but think "wow, she's gorgeous". The unknown girl blinks for a couple seconds before finally looking up to see the other girls besides her. Her eyes fall on one girl in particular, Lena. Immediately, her lips curl up into a gummy and heartwarming smile. 

"Senpai!" She says cutely. The three other girls' eyes widen.

"Senpai?!" They shout. 

"Who are you?!" Rose shouts. 

"Me?" The girl says as she sits up, pointing to herself with a confused look. Nodding their heads, the girls waited for her to say her name. 

"Yumeko Hana." The moment the girl said her name, Lena froze. 

"I'm sorry who?" She asked.

"Hana. Yumeko Hana." The girl says. Lena looks at her two friends with her eyes basically bulging out of her face. 

"Why? Do you know her?" Ellie says. 

Lena nods vigorously. "S-she's..." She stutters before looking back at the person in her bed. It began to make sense as to why the girl felt so familiar. Her features, her figure, no wonder she knew it all too well. 

"She's my favorite anime character."

"You. Stay here." Lena says pointing to Hana, commanding to her as if she was a dog. Hans gives a confused look before tilting her head. 

"Why? Where are you going?" She asks. 

What Lena, Ellie, and Rose realized about the girl was one thing: she somehow knew how to speak English. For someone who came from an anime show, it was weird to know the girl spoke their language instead of Japanese. 

"We're going to school." Rose says. 

"Ah then I will come, too!" Hana says energetically. 

"No!" Ellie says accidentally raising her voice to stop the girl from walking out the door. "You can't, you aren't even enrolled yet. You have to stay here until we get back."

"Eeeeeeehh?" Hana whines. "But I want to goooo." 

"No." Lena says, flustered by the anime girl's cute whining. "Stay here. We will be back, okay?" 

"You promise?" Hana asks, staring deep into Lena's eyes. Lena felt herself gulp down nothing as her throat grew dry from the girl in front of her getting close to her face. 

"Y-yes, I promise." She stuttered out. Hana immediately smiles and nods her head before moving away as she jumps in her spot. 

"Okay! Come back soon senpai!" Despite the girl speaking English, she still said some Japanese words. 

With that said, Lena, Ellie, and Rose immediately get out of the house and head to the bus stop. Luckily they were the only ones there. "Okay what the heck girls." Ellie asks. "I think we're still dreaming or something. How is she an anime character Lena?!" 

"I showed you her the pictures from the anime she's from! She looks exactly like her! How do you think I feel?" Lena says. 

"But how is that even possible?" Rose says.

"Beats me!" Lena groans out, her back slouching as she sighs to the ground. "Like is someone pulling a joke on me or something? I don't understand!" 

Upon minutes, the bus showed up and the girls get in before getting an empty seat. A few students greeted them as many from their high school rode in the same bus and knew them. Their group of friends were quite popular for different reasons. 

Lena slumps into her seat."But seriously, I don't know what to do." She says tiredly as she slams her head onto the back of the seat in front of her. 

"What's with her this morning?" The girls all look to see the owner of the voice. 

"Morning Devyn." Lena mumbles. 

Devyn Short. Not only was she a part of Lena's group and known in school as someone so comedic and hyper, but she was also a straight-A student and the treasurer of the student council. Her and Lena are the closest compared to the other girls of their group and Lena's own roommates. The two grew up together and knew each other the longest trailing all the way back to kindergarten.

"Trust us, you don't wanna know." Ellie says, groaning as she lays back in her seat besides Rose. "Dude, I'm so exhausted." 

"You're exhausted?!" Lena says and scoffs. Devyn chuckles at their bicker. Despite not knowing why they seemed not in the mood for anything, she still found the two funny because of their actions. 

"Don't mind them." Rose says with a sigh. "We had a rough morning." 

"Yeah I can tell." Devyn jokes.

"Did you girls at least eat?" Looking for the own of the voice, the four girls look to see the figure who sat in the same seat as Devyn. 

"Oh hey Caeli, didn't see you there." Rose greeted the girl. 

Caeli Scott. Despite having last names, her and devyn were actually sisters, step sisters. Chaeli's mother married Devyn's father. The two got along quite well and acted as if they were actually blood related.  

"Morning, Caeli." Ellie and Lena also greeted the girl. 

"No, we didn't eat actually." Ellie says, holding her flat stomach. "I want some bacon or something." She says. 

"Ew bacon? That has a lot of cholesterol." Lena told her.

"Not my fault it's good to eat." 

Lena rolls her eyes at her friend's reply before turning her head away from her friends to look out the window. Sighing to herself, her thoughts wonder back to this morning. Biting her lip, all Lena wanted to do was scream. 

Just how was Yumeko Hana real?! She thought.
