The unmistakable sound of rustling leaves drifted from a window. Outside, the wind whipped, but the frequent gusts provided enough heat to warm the musty room. Still, a slight chill lingered. Darkness encompassed everything in the vicinity—the walls, the room, the energy. Specks of light weaved from the window, or so it appeared. Various shapes and objects remained hazy. They grew brighter with each passing minute. The next breath brought a hint of honeysuckle. The fragrant aroma didn’t linger, but it triggered sweet memories—of hope, of love, of unity.
