Impersonating the Alpha's daughter
Jade POV
“You sure you can do this job?” The middle-aged man whose face was covered in wrinkles asked for the umpteenth time, and I nodded in response to his question.
He needed not to ask twice because I was good at my job as an impersonator. That is right, I am great at impersonating others, and it is what give me the money and fame that I wanted. Although nobody knows my real face because I am always impersonating others, I am just a timid werewolf with no identity to my name except when I am doing my job. None of my clients knew my identity because I am always on different wigs and heavy makeup. The only person who knew my real face was my pet rabbit Tayla and my friend Michael. I had no family as I was left in front of an orphanage home with nothing but a cloth wrapped around me and a necklace.
“You ask me to impersonate the Alpha of the north daughter, right?” I asked him and he nodded in response. “Then it is simply because I can do it,” I smiled at him.
“She would rather not marry the Prince because of his bad reputation and to avoid the marriage, she needs to lie about being cheated on,” The middle-aged man explained.
“Which of the prince?” I asked because I knew that the kingdom had three princes with different reputations. The first prince, Prince Alaric, and the werewolf crown prince is known for his scandals, especially with women. He is known to be a playboy because every weekend for him is from one woman to another. He is an irresponsible prince and also wastes money like water. Although I haven't seen him in person, I have watched his interviews, and his scandal news and read magazines about him. Prince Alaric was the oldest, most handsome, with killer bodies. To me, he was like an idol that I have been crushing on ever since I was a little kid but, we were worlds apart. Someone like him is not meant for someone like me.
In five words, I am below his level.
Onto the next prince, who is known as the filial and good child. Prince Nicholas has a good reputation unlike his brother prince Alaric. I haven't seen him before because he was always hiding from the spotlight, but those around him nicknamed him the Ice prince. Because I haven't seen him before, I wasn't concerned about how he looked like, and it was none of my business anyway.
The last prince and the annoying one which I hope I never meet was prince Raymond. He is known as the spoiled prince because of his obnoxious character towards others. Because of his bad attitude, people keep away from him and avoid him at all costs in order not to get into trouble. Anyone who disobeys him or gets on his nerve is either sent to the Royal prince where no werewolf should ever go, or they could be stripped of their titles and sent out of the kingdom.
Since I was going to be dealing with the first prince, I was glad that I got to see my crush again, and just the thought of that gladdens my heart. “What does the person I am impersonating look like?” I asked after a moment of silence.
The man handed over to me a brown envelope, and I took it from his hand. I looked inside the envelope and saw everything that I needed, including the contract. “This is the Alpha's daughter?” I asked when I saw the picture of a red-haired girl with blue eyes. She looked nothing like me, who had tangled golden hair and a shining forehead. Her face screams money and for a second, I wished that I was her because she looked spoiled, but I quickly shook my head at the thought of that.
I am not someone who would envy that, so I soon forgot that I was thinking about her. “So I will be getting $3000 for the job?”
The middle-aged man nodded in response. “Once your job is done, and you succeed, then I'll wire the money to your account,” he told me.
“I can't get half of the payment now, Mr…” I trailed off as I didn't know his name.
“It's Gerald and no, you can't get the payment because that was not the agreement and since you were referred by Daniel, I believe you can keep this a secret right?”
“Of course,” I smiled at him and put back the photo into the envelope. “I am fully ready,” I told him.
“Great. I'll pick you up tomorrow by eight in the morning then,” Mr. Gerald informed me and I nodded in response. He stood up to leave, and I bowed my head as I watched him leave.
I smelled the envelope and heaved a sigh.” I will be $3000 rich in three days!” I squealed and clapped my hands.
~~~~~~~
Saturday morning came in a blink of an eye and I woke up around Five. am just to get ready for the job. “Almost done,” I applied the red lipstick on my lips and smacked it together. “I look like her,” I picked up the picture of the Alpha's daughter on my dressing table and stared at it. I had successfully transformed into her. My golden hair changed to red curly hair and my oval-shaped face changed into a round shape.
I had successfully changed into her. “Hello, I am Angelina, and I am the daughter of Alpha….” I stretched forth my hand towards my reflection in the mirror as I practiced my speech, trying so hard to sound like a sophisticated lady. “I am Angelina and I have come to inform you about….”
The doorbell sounded and I stopped talking at once. Mr. Gerald had arrived to pick me up, and I stood up from the chair and stared at myself in the mirror. I was dressed in a short sleeveless red sequin dress. It was provided by Mr. Gerald for me to wear. “I look like a princess,” I grabbed my black Chanel bag from the bed and walked out of my apartment.
A black Limousine was parked in front of my apartment with Mr. Gerald standing and smiling at me. “Hello, miss Jade,” he greeted and stared at me as if he had seen a ghost. “You look just like Angelina,” he commented.
I smiled at him and bowed my head. “Thank you.”
“Please enter into the limo,” he pointed inside, and I entered without arguing. He entered beside me and the car started and drove into their street.
“May I ask where Angelina is right now?” I asked him because I dealt with a client before who ended up ruining everything for me by showing up at the same time as me. I didn't want that to happen again, so I want to try as much as possible to avoid it.
“She is currently out of the kingdom, but her father thinks she is here in Katula,” Mr. Gerald replied.
“Great,” I cleared my throat and placed my hands on my lap. I was finally going to meet Prince Alaric, my dream crush, and If there was a word to explain how happy I am then that was how I felt at that moment.
“I have called a few reporters to the Restaurant and here are photos of him with his ex-lovers,” he handed me a brown envelope and I bought it out and stared at it.
The pictures were of Prince Alaric with numerous girls. There were at least five pictures of him with different guys, and I noticed that all of them had similar hair color which was blonde. Prince Alaric likes blonde girls and Angelina who was red-haired doesn't match his type of girl.
Even I who likes prince Alaric had golden hair.
“I just need to reveal that he is cheating on me, right?”
Mr. Gerald nodded in response. “Once you've done that and the prince is involved In another scandal, then the marriage would be called off and Angelina would be freed from the arrangement,” he explained further, and I nodded in agreement.
“Alright.” None of us said a word until we reached the restaurant. It was a five-star restaurant and one of the best in the kingdom made especially for people with class and royal Werewolves. As we walked into the restaurant, I took a deep breath because I knew that as Jade, I would never enter a place like that. The restaurant was empty except for the chefs and waitresses who welcomed us.
“This place has been rented for the whole day because of the crown prince who is visiting,” Mr. Gerald informed me and I nodded in response.
"Welcome lady Angelina," A black man dressed in a black suit appeared from the left side of the restaurant and bowed to me.
For a few seconds, I felt like royalty and didn't say anything until Mr. Gerald nudged me on the shoulder. "Thank you," I replied trying so hard to sound like a sophisticated lady which worked out well.
"This way please," The man beckoned for me to follow him which I did. He took us to a seat beside the window where I could see the outside. I sat down on of the chairs as there were two chairs and a glass table at the center. The chairs and the tables were all made of gold and it felt surreal to be seated there having people attending to me like top stars. "Here is the menu," The black man handed over the menu list to me.
Mr. Gerald who stood behind me quickly yanked the book from my hand and dropped it on the table. "My lady," he faked a bow. "let's wait for the crown prince to arrive," he said.
"Of course," I faked a laugh. "I'll be waiting for the crown prince," I told the black man and he nodded In response and walked away. The chefs all went back to the kitchen while the waitresses positioned themselves on the table close to where I sat.
An hour passed before the crown prince arrived and as a white limo parked in front of the restaurant, I felt my heartbeat and I got lost in my world where only I and the crown prince existed. As his presence was announced and he walked into the restaurant surrounded by five bodyguards, I looked up to face him, and to be honest, the pictures and the videos of him didn't do justice to how lovely he looked in person.
"Oh my!" I whispered as he headed towards me.
