Chapter twelve

My weekend was awesome.I did spend my time with the girl i love and also my relationship with her father is now growing strong.Am just glad he has no problem with my intention towards his daughter.Its a progress now i just need to tell her how i feel about her now.Am supposed to be back in my town but i decided to stay here atleast until I've told her my intentions and win her.I even cancelled all my movie projects just for her.So i pray that everything will go my way and my stay will be worthwhile.School are about to close and I've also learnt that her birthday is coming up.Now i also know that one of her best friend always comes to celebrate her birthday and she is much special to her than her other friend Lydia.So i would really love to meet her.I want to know those people close to her.those people who brings a smile to her beautiful face.So i have to plan a suprise party to plan.So i have to talk to her dad and also her friends to plan it.I need to get Donah's number but i dont know how.So i go to work while pondering about this.At school we have a quick meeting since the library is now complete and the books are already here.We now have to figure out what to work on next.We have to repair the lab now and stock it then repair the classes and add afew more classes then after we are done with the construction we find a way to get more students to enroll to this school.Though i liked the small population of the school.It was really easy to keep an eye to the students and their activities.But well the school needs money and other things so the more the students the more the money.During the meeting i found out that other business men were ready to help in building the school so donations were coming through and that was a good sign.Initially no one wanted to donate and help the school but since they heard i was now helping fund the school people are coming out to help fund it now.Am sure at the start of the new uear we'll receive alot of students.But we still have one term to go then the new year will start.After the meeting i have afew things to do before the day ends.

Students are done with their exams.So they are not so busy and are just hunging around doing anything they want.I can see Lindah coming out of the library.She seems tired.Since we completed the repairs and extention of the library she has been too busy with cleaning and organising it.So she only leaves when she goes for break.Since I gave her the phone I've not even called or texted her.So i decide to text her."Hi there." I text."Hello" she replies after a minute."busy???" I text back. "Nop.just the usual."she replies."Can i call you."i text."ok" she replies.So i call her immediately.We talk for so long.She tells me how she's doing and how hectic it has become for her and her assistant since the library was completed.But she's happy and thanks me for agreeing to fund her school.She asked me how i was and if i liked staying at their town and working at her school.I told her i was very happy and i wouldn't leave until i succeed in my work.She asked what work but i told her she'll come to know in due time.When i succeed she'll be the first to know.She asked if i needed her help but i told her for now i was okay but if at any time i needed help I'd let her know.We talked for a long time until the bell rung indicating it was time to go home.So i told her I'd see her in the car and hung up.In the car we didn't talk much.We dropped them at their place and we headed to ours.

The next few days went along fast and closing day was here.The student assembled in the auditorium and the teachers took turns in wishing the kids happy holidays and asking them to be careful and responsible out there.After that the best students from each class were called on stage and congratulated.Presents were given then they were dismissed.I announced the 70kids I'd be sponsoring through high school and what i expected from them in return.that was excellent grades and whoever fails in 3 consecutive terms while loose their scholarship.They clapped happily and promised they'd work hard.After that everyone was dismissed.So we dropped the girls home and wished them happy holidays while we headed home.I told Linda and her sister that I'd come see their dad the next day.After saying our goodbyes we left.

The next day i went to visit their dad.We talked for a while and asked him about the Donah chick.If i could get her number.He told me he didnt have the number but he can just ask Lindah.I told him that i didnt want her to get suspicious.So the dad called Lindah and asked for her phone.She brought the phone and handed it to her dad.The dad then told her that he'd call her when he's done with it.After she left he looked in the contact list and gave me Donah's number.After taking the number i asked him if she had any other friends.He told me she only has 2 friends.Thats Lydia and Donah.Making friends is hard for her.So after she took her phone back we talked with her dad for alittle more before i left.He asked me wen i was planning to tell her about my feelings towards her.I told him i will soon.He encouraged me to tell her soon.just to let her know how i feel and see how she reacts about it.

For the suprise party i had decided we'll have it at my place since only afew people were attending plus Amy was glad to cook.The party was to be attended by the dad,stepmum and her 5 siblings plus Lydia and Donah.When that day came,no one wished her.She was expecting a call from Donah but she never got it.Her family and Lydia left at about 12 noon.She was left doing some work at home and they told her they'll be visiting their grandparents.At 2pm i called to ask where she was and she said she was at home.I told her i had some work for her and I'll be coming to pick her.She agreed and said she'd be ready in 20mins.So i went to pick her after 20min.She seemed sad and when i asked her she said she had called her best friend but she wasnt picking and that's unlike her so she was worried.I told her not to worry that maybe she was just busy and she'd call back.When we got to my place she was suprised how the place was decorated with baloons and flowers."HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!"everyone screamed.She was beyond shocked.she couldn't believe that everyone was here for here birthday.she even cried.she never thought she'd be able to one day celebrate her birthday with her whole family and new friends.She hugged everyone and when she came to me she hugged me and whispered a thank you to my ears.She even gave me a peck.When she saw her friend Donah she went to her and punched her before giving her a loving hug.She seemed happy to see her.After that we all sat down and had our meal while chatting happily then later we did cut the cake.After the celebrations i told her that Donah will be sleeping here at my place since their home was small.She agreed but said she'd stay with her.She asked her dad who didn't object.So i told Amy to prepare the spare room for them.Bill drove the rest pf them back to their plàce.

When everyone left and only the 3 of us were left,Lindah came to me and hugged me.She thanked me again for the party and for letting her friend stay with me.Donah also came to me and thanked me.So i told the girls to go freshen up while i do the same.After afew minutes we all came back to the living room.We decided we'd watch a movie while waiting for Amy and Bill.So i learned that Donah had also turned 15yrs 2months ago but since she was in school she couldn't celebrate hers.Then i left them and went to make some coffee for us.I heard them talking about boys and that interested me especially Lindah's part.So i eavesdropped on their conversation.Donah had met a boy and were dating now for 3months.She asked Lindah if she had met someone and she said she hadn't.She never thought about it but since Donah had one she'll also get one.she joked.They chatted for a while then i came back.We had our coffee while talking.We talked till late hours then went to bed.I felt good for making her happy.
