The Alfa Kings Lost Queen

Rose’s POV; I was standing in the kitchen preparing breakfast with my best friend Maya we’ve been best friends since we were pups. I’ve just had my eighteenth birthday so I can finally find my mate. Although he isn’t in this pack and I also don’t plan on going out off pack lands to find him maybe in the future. I don’t really won’t to leave all I’ve ever known behind it’s always been our little group since Me and maya lost our parents, we were ten they were pack warriors they were killed by rogues. The Alfa and Luna took us in and gave us a home, I was pulled out of my thoughts by maya. “Is everything okay Rose?” Mayas asks clearly worried as I spaced out. “Yes why?” “Oh just I’ve been trying to get your attention for five minutes” she replies with a small smile. She always knows when something is on my mind. I send her a reassuring smile and get back to preparing breakfast. Suddenly the door to the kitchen opens and the luna walks in she’s beautiful with her long thick black hair grey eyes and petite figure. “Hello everyone” she greets with a smile “Good morning luna” we all greets bowing our heads it’s a sign off respect. She sits at the island. “Alfa Leo would like to talk to you after breakfast Rose” she’s says smiling at me. “Okay” “How are you girls” she asks “Good how are you” maya replies “Good is there anything that you need new clothes or shoes? Please don’t hesitate to ask! And I’m very well thank you” she replies. “No thank you we have everything we need” I reply. She nods and heads out the door. We continue with the prep once done we take out the bowl off fruit and orange juice while the other kitchen staff take everything else. Once we set everything down, we make our way over to the table. Maya sits next to her mate Kyle the gamma of the pack she was lucky once she turned eighteen she had Kyle waiting for her. Maya says morning to Kyle. “Maya you don’t have to prep breakfast anymore your my mate” Kyle says smiling wide at her. They instantly hit it off Kyle new maya was his mate as he’s twenty but he never said anything because of her age but he always protected her. “I know but I don’t want to leave Rose alone we’ve been friends forever” “Rose wouldn’t have to if she accepted beta Luca’s offer!” Its not really an offer he wants to date me but I still have time to find my mate. Sadly Luca’s mate rejected him he’s a good guy looks out for everyone. I take a seat next to Maya. Alfa Leo and Luna Taylor at the top Luca to the left and Kyle to right. “Morning maya, rose” Alfa Leo greets us “Morning Alfa” we reply bowing our heads. “No formalities please. We are family.” He doesn’t like us calling him Alfa as we all grew up together even though they are two years older. “Of course Leo” I reply, “Good morning Rose. How has your morning been?” Asks luca “Good morning. Fine thank you. You?” I smile at him. “Good” he replies with a cheeky smile and a wink. I look at Leo and give him a smile. Luca’s personality is cheeky he cares deeply for the people he loves. He loves to joke around but takes his duties seriously. “Rose I would like you to come to my office please the other kitchen staff can clean up.” Leo says. “Okay” I motioned him to lead the way, his office is situated at the back off the pack house. He opens the door the decor is simple white walls dark wood floor, a window straight ahead with grey curtains, book cases on the right from ceiling to floor and fire place on the left with two couches on either side with a glass coffee table in the middle. His desk is situated in front off the window with two chairs in front. I take a seat on one of the chairs as Leo sits behind his desk, Taylor sits in the other chair. Luca stands behind me, kyle and maya stand behind Taylor. I look at Leo he’s getting paper work out his desk. “Rose as you are aware you are one off the unmated females in the pack. Seems as we are practically family I won’t to deliver this information personally. We have an upcoming event with some powerful guests will be attending, also staying while the event is on.” “What is the event and why does it effect me?” “We’ll it’s a ball. The king is searching for his mate and has been making his way around the packs we are next to welcome him he has asked that all unmated females are to attend” “I have nothing to wear for a ball” “Thats we’re I come in” taylor says “We’re going shopping?” She smiles “When is he to arrive exactly?” “This Friday” I look around the room first to Maya and she’s smiling at me and gives me a thumbs up. Kyle is also smiling at me. Then I look towards Luca he gives me a smile but I can see he’s not happy. I look back over to Taylor who is still smiling. “We go shopping first thing tomorrow” I nod in reply “Another thing” Leo gets my attention again. “I don’t want you working anymore. We have had this conversation before I no you like it but I don’t want you doing it. Your like a sister. I also want you to move up to the beta wing please?” He asks giving me a stern but pleading gaze. “Fine” I’m a little annoyed only moving up one more floor! “We will move you right away” Luca says. “Great and again I don’t want to see you in the kitchen or doing any chores for that matter Rose.” Leo says “Why do you have to be so controlling? It’s only chores everyone else does them what else am I suppose to do?” Still annoyed. Leo looks at me with a smirk a little amused at my out burst. “We’ll my little rose. Again your like a little sister not by blood but if you was you wouldn’t be doing those chores!!” He replies still holding that smirk. “Fine. I will go pack my stuff then” Getting up off the chair only to be stopped by Luca. “No need. I sorted it for you” I look at him. He’s tall well built with muscular body that you can clearly see through his grey top. He’s got blonde curly hair, blues eyes and dimples when he smiles. He’s just perfection. “How? you’ve been in here” He gives me a smile. “I linked someone to pack your things and take it to your new room” he says with an amused smirk. He’s loving this having me only meters away from him. I nod. “So who’s going to show me to my room?”Luca steps towards me with the same smirk he held moments ago. “Luca will show you. And Rose try not to kill my beta please” Leo gives me smile before going back to his work. “I’ll try but no promises Leo. You know how he can be!” I say giving him a wink. “let’s get you settled in” Luca says pulling me out the door. “Your loving this aren’t you?” “What having you on my wing! Hell yeah I get to see your beautiful face every day!” He replies with his cheeky smile. He has come so far since his mate rejected him two years ago. It’s unusual to be rejected but she was in love with someone else and a year older than him. “Well at least I’ll have someone to talk too more often even if you are annoying!” “I am not annoying I just like annoying you!” We stop at a door we already passed luca’s room. He motions for me to go in I walk in. It’s a lot bigger than my old room, It has two windows on the back wall with silver curtains floor to ceiling. The bed is in the middle of the two windows with white and silver bedding. The left off the room is a sitting area with a white couch with a tv on the wall and a coffee table in front off the couch. The walls are beautiful decorated with white and silver wall paper that have flowers it has cream carpet that is heaven to walk on. door on the left side, I open it, it leads to the bathroom It’s a decent size one window in the middle of the room a walk in shower at the far end with two shower heads a beautiful tub sits under the window with the twin basins at the other end with a huge mirror. A set of shelves that have all my toiletries stacked. And fresh towels on the rack. back in the bedroom. I’m make my way over to right side another door and open its a walk in closet with all my clothes shoes and bags sit put away. back in the bedroom on the right is a large mirror and a vanity table with all my perfume and make up on it. “Do you like?” “Yes it’s huge” I reply with a big smile on my face I love it. “Good the Leo and Taylor picked everything out just for you” I look at Luca he’s smiling which shows his dimples. If only the moon goddess saw me fit to be his mate! “How long have they been planning this?” “Since Leo took over from his father. He didn’t like you being down there in that tiny room, your like his little sister and he wants you to treated the way you deserve as do we all” “Ok” that’s all I can say I’m shocked I no we grew up together and he always called me his sister but I never expected him to go to this length to care for me. I was lost in thought when there was I knock on the door, Luca answers the door. “Look who come to make sure your all settled” maya and Kyle walk through the door. I give them both a smile. “We came to make sure that Luca isn’t being too annoying!” Maya says jokingly. I chuckle. “I am not annoying anybody and she loves me” Luca replies sending me a wink. “Im fine and it’s nice having company! Also having the room for company” I say giggling. “Shall we leave the girls to talk. We can hit the gym?” Kyle asks Luca “Yeah man” Kyle walks over to maya giving her a quick peck on the lips before walking out with Luca. Me and maya walk to the couch, she asks if my stuff is unpacked to which I reply yes. Then topic the turns to Luca. “So why don’t you just accept Luca you both totally like each other!” Maya states. I do like Luca but I still have the chance to meet my mate. I’m have gave myself two years and if I haven’t fount my mate before or after then me and Luca will start dating! I no what your thinking selfish but he agreed to it and if he finds someone in the mean time we both agreed that’s ok. Even though he told me I’m the only one for him. “We’ve spoke about this maya!! We have an agreement. He’s fine with waiting and if he finds someone we’re both fine with it. He wants me to find my mate even if it means not being with him!” She rolls her eyes at me. “I no but he’s a good guy, what if you wait two years and still no mate then you’ve wasted two years that you could be happy with Luca that’s all I’m saying!” She signs. I no what she’s saying but I’ve only just turned eighteen. And I’m sick off people trying to control me! “Anyway how are you and Kyle?” “We’re good taking it day by day. He being patient with me just turning eighteen he doesn’t want to rush the mating process” “How do you feel about that?” “I’m happy to take it slow but the bond is getting stronger and I feel like I need more” “Tell him. I’m sure he’ll understand he has been waiting for you for two years Maya!” “Your right! I’ll sit down with him tonight” “I’m sure he probably feels the same way” She gives me smile we go back to talking about other things and loose track off time when the guys come back. “Hey baby you ready to go it’s almost lunch time?” Kyle asks Maya. She nods and they head out. Luca comes over to me. “Hey, You okay?” “Sure just a lot.” He wraps his arms around me pulling me into a hug. “We’re all here if you need anything” Luca reassures me. It’s nice to know I have so many people who care for me. “Thanks Luca. Why couldn’t the moon goddess give me you as a mate instead she gives you someone that hurt you and well I’m not sure about mine.” I give him a wary smile, he looks down at me gives me a small smile. “The moon goddess doesn’t make mistakes, She must have some thing good for both off us I suppose we just have to ride it out” “I hope your right, I’m proud of you Most wolfs would break or go mad with what you went through but here you are pulling through!” “I have people that care about me also people I care about to go mad or break. I mean it hurt not gonna lie but I have a lot of things to live for” giving me a smile that shows his Breath taking dimples. “Come on its lunch” Luca says pulling me up. We head to the food hall. Leo Taylor Kyle and maya are already there. Instead off sitting next to Maya I sit next too Luca. I look around the table and everyone is staring at me wide eyed mouths open in surprise. “What is everyone staring at?” Kyles the first one to speak. “usually you sit beside maya” then Leo makes a comment. “Is there something were missing?” “What do you mean?” “Well you both are late to arrive you walk in together now your sitting next to each other?” Taylor gives me a little smirk. “I just enjoy Luca’s company and I enjoy being around him even if he is annoying sometimes” I smile at them all. Maya smiled back and the rest nods there head. “Again with the annoying! You like it really other wise you wouldn’t hang out with me!” He says with a cheeky grin and that damn wink. After lunch Leo Kyle and Luca have official pack business to take care off leaving me maya and Taylor to chat. We head over to the living area. It’s a big room as it’s the main living area a huge tv sits in the middle off the room with a big u shaped couch and a square glass coffee table in the middle. We sit on the couch. We start off with small chit chat and end up on the same topic as always me and Luca. “Seems like you and Luca are getting closer?” Taylor asks “We’ve always been close” They both look at each other and smile. “Yes but it looks like your getting even closer” Taylor replies. “We’re drawn to him even though he’s not our mate.” My wolf points out. “I know”She’s a wolf of few words. “I feel drawn to him for some reason” I hum “you should talk to him see if he feels the same way?” Taylor says “He does feel the same he wants rose to be his mate!” Maya pipes up. “Your waiting for your mate?” Taylor asks “Yes I don’t want to get in anything then find him and break Luca’s heart he’s been through enough” “protecting him but also yourself?” Taylor rises her eyebrows. “Yes” “maybe your mate will be at the ball on Saturday Rose” Taylor smiles at me. We go back to the small talk and watch movies with snacks. After a couple off hours the guys join us. Kyle sit next to maya he wraps his arms around her, Leo pulls Taylor into his lap. Luca comes and sits next to me. I move closer to him wanting to be close. He wraps his arms around me placing a kiss to my forehead. We watch the film just enjoying each other’s company. I rest my head on Luca’s chest and fall to sleep. When I wake I’m in my room I look at the clock it six in the morning. I change into my gym clothes and make my way to the gym. I’m not an overly active person but I like to keep in shape. I reach the gym to my surprise Luca is working out in the left corner where the weights are. The full back wall is full off mirrors. I head over to the treadmill when Luca sees me he gives me a wink then carries on. I’m so engrossed in my workout that I don’t realise Luca came up next to me he clears his throat getting my attention. “Didn’t know you worked out?” He gives me an amused look. “usually I don’t but I have nothing else to do so maybe working out is a good thing.” “how did you sleep your were out you didn’t move when I took you to bed.” “Didn’t wake all night” “Good” “Anyway I better get showered ready to go dress shopping for the ball today” I hate shopping. Luca just nods and laughs and my agitation. In my room. I quickly shower then make my way over to my closet I pick a pair of dark ripped jeans a white tank top and white converse. I make my over to my vanity table I look in the mirror. I put my long dark brown hair into a high pony I don’t bother with make up my big hazel eye stand without adding anything to them. Once I’m ready I make my way down for breakfast I take my seat next to Luca who has already plated my food I thank him. After breakfast me maya and Taylor head over to the dress boutique it’s only ten minutes away from the pack house.
