Chapter 12
Nine years later…
Jenna walked through the cool shade of the oak trees, sunlight dappling the floor where it managed to break through. Her feet were bare but she was walking on a soft blanket of grass. A warm breeze played lightly on her skin. She breathed in deeply… but didn’t get any of the smells she expected. She frowned at that, but the pleasant surroundings soon stole her concerns away.
She reached a clearing and looked up. The bright blue sky was cloudless, but something was hanging there… something massive… something that should never be anywhere near a planet… the Tagrale.
She shook her head, trying to understand. How could the Tagrale be here? Before she could think about it any further there was a blinding flash on the surface of the Tagrale. Moments later
