My First Day In College

[Nerly's P.O.V]

I entered the hallway of Shoreditch Medical University and was frantically looking around. Where am I supposed to go? I asked myself as I keep staring at the map in hand. I was already late but lack of knowledge about my lecture hall made me very late.

I took a left turn where I bumped into a hard figure whiles looking on the map.

'Ouch' I said rubbing my forehead.

"Sorry little angel" I peered up and was met with dazzling brown eyes staring back at me. He was very tall about 6'5 towering over my 5'2.

"Where are you off to in such a hurry? You seem lost" He said.

"I'm trying to find this classroom" I showed him my schedule, hopefully he'd be of help.

"Well let me help you since this is your first day here I guess." He said.

We walked side by side having a little chat before we were right in front of my classroom. I got to know his name was Chris.

I was nervous and reluctant to enter since on my first day at college I was already late.

Chris notice this act and tap me on the head like a little girl saying "You don't need to be nervous because he won't be made at you and also it's your first day here so probably he'll understand you had difficulty locating your classroom." I sent a shy smile to him and thank him once again before I finally entered.

"You are late." the lecturer said once I was inside the classroom.

"Sorry about that Sir but I got lost." I replied looking down.

"Don't worry, have a seat but before that introduce yourself to the class" he said.

After a brief introduction of myself, he asked me to take an empty by a girl he pointed to be Hailey.

I walked over to the empty desk and sat beside Hailey who seems to be smiling widely at me which I returned.

"Hi" she whispered still smiling at me as the lecturer turned to continue teaching.

Soon enough the first class which was maths had come to an end but now I don't need to suffer looking for my next classroom since Hailey and I were doing the same course. We went in and halfway through the lecturer had an emergency call he had to attend to.

"Okay class I'm sorry but that will be all for today, see you later in our next meeting I have to go." He said before rushing out the door.

Soon the bell rang for lunch and I went out with Hailey for lunch. We got to the cafeteria and I noticed that I hadn't seen Hailey with anyone else so I asked, "Where are your friends?"

"I don't have any" she replied shrugging. I put my hand on hers and squeezed it a little "Now you've got yourself one" I smiled.

Chris soon joined us sitting next to Hailey.

"It seems I have to stop keeping you company since you have found a friend" Chris said. I giggle nodding. We chatted for a while before the bell rang indication that it was time for our next lecture. Hailey and I skipped to class and soon enough the tutor enters. The class went by so quick and smooth. A few minutes to the end of the day's lessons Hailey turned and said "We both look like 'babies' as compared to the others so I hope we will be able to get along real quick." I smile nodding as the bell rings.
