Chapter 42 How Long?
Brooke's POV My eyes burst open as I gasp for air, grabbing my chest, feeling it heave under my palm. I'm shocked by these feelings. I know for a fact that I felt the suffocation taking over before in that smoke-filled room, but it obviously didn't stick since I can feel the air being gained into my lungs in this very moment. "shhh.. you're ok Brooke.. You're ok.. just breath." I hear from the cooing rumble of a very familiar voice. Once my eyes blink a couple of times and then focusing, I can see the same gorgeous orbs I was daydreaming about right as I was dying. He is looking down at me with much concern as his gentle hand caresses over my cheek. "Breathe, Brooke."
