“Its graduation day, its graduation day!!” Anna beamed! “I am beyond proud of you, Tyler. You have come a long way since you were homeless and trying to steal my produce at the farmer’s market.” Tyler just smiled at Anna. “I want you to know, no matter what happens or where you go from here, I will always love you and consider you my son. That is why, I want you to come see your graduation gift, that is sitting outside” Anna proclaimed with joy. Tyler had a strange look on his face, seemingly confused. When he stepped outside, his face glowed and each corner of his mouth was turned up as far as they could, grinning ear to ear. There, in front of him, was a brand new 2017, Mustang GT. Tears began to roll down Tylers face, as he looked at Anna as she handed him the keys, reassuring him that it was his.
Tyler was barely able to keep his composure, as he turned around and gave her the biggest hug ever! As he held on tight, the words “I love you, thank you” flowed smoothly out of his mouth. Not realizing that he had spoken, Tyler kept hugging Anna. She, however, was in shock as she for the first time heard his voice. She pulled back and looked at him. “You talked…and you have a beautiful voice” Anna responded. In that moment, Tyler knew that he would not have a problem speaking ever again. “Hop in for a ride, mama” Tyler offered.
“Mama?” Anna asked confused. “Yes, you have been more of a mother to me than I have ever had. I see and think of you as such.” Tyler replied. “Yes, that would be a honor” Anna said with a big smile as she got into the passenger seat of the mustang.
