The ritual(2)

Mr. and Mrs. Evans waited with batted breath for the ritual to be completed.

They were told, their baby girl's childhood memories had to be locked. And due to the instability of her brain and mind in those days how Gregory and his mate lost her in the streets. When they found her trails, Evans couple was already trailing her. So they waited. They waited because the danger kept coming their way by trailing Ivan, Gregory's mate and Eliena's protector. They left the perimeter to keep Eli and the now parents safe and sound. Eventually they gave out the rumour of her being lost or dead, and they were finally free after several years.

The day before Greg came, he sensed the tremor in the stone that kept track of Eliena's stability and found a c***k. So he came and here they are, performing the ritual on their baby girl.

The parents listened to the soft painful whimpers of Eliena with teary eyes. But Ariana's reaction was surprising. She wanted to get in the array. Mr. Evans held her close so she won't disrupt the process. They waited untill Greg stopped chanting and the purple glow started to diminish. They were both surprised and terrified listening to his next words,

" What's going on?"

Ivan was alert in a second. He held Greg's hand that was shaking, " What is it?"

"The ritual is complete. See .. the array is already dying. but the eye.. it's glowing on it's own. I...I don't know how.."

They all turned to the still glowing huge beam of golden light in which red and blue was spiralling. The glow was brightening by second. A hue of green spreading from the sides made it more captivating. They watched fascinated.

The green hue shrank suddenly before spreading in a huge wave like a tsunami. The blood curdling scream from inside of the eye froze their insides with fear.

Gregory, having his own speculation watched the beam intently. He hurried and waved his hand to form a strong barrier around the array to keep the wave inside. It bounced back to the beam of light and poof... everything gone. The glow was gone in a second revealing the slumped body on the floor.
