The man looked with a faraway look in his misty eyes. "The grey beast that ran with you on back was me. I am a lycan."
He paused. Eli rubbed her chest discreetly. She had an inkling.. the information about the other beast.. wolf actually won't be good for her. The feeling of a void settling in her chest making her gasp. The man parted his lips to say but was interrupted by Gregory. "It's ready."
Eli looked at the man again who nodded at her, " Once the ritual is complete, you'll get back your memories entirely. If something went missing, I'm here to fill in ". He gave an encouraging smile nudging her towards the basement.
There laid an array with different things and reddish brown powder. The man placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder, " Stand at the eye of the array, It'll take very little time to undone the seal."
Eli looked at everyone before doing as instructed. She turned to uncle Greg who had his eyes closed and hand at the level of his chest, palm upwards. He chanted without sound while his palm glowed with purple colour, the same coloured light that glowed throughout the array except the eye. It glowed dimly with reddish golden colour in which tiny sparkles of blue kept flickering. All the lights shoot upwards like beams a moment before the eye glowed bright. A huge ball of golden light with red spiralling in engulfed her entire being.
Eli let out a whimper at the excruciating pain in her head and chest. Warmth and coldness both spread rapidly throughout her body. Her head was bursting in pain by now. A part of her wanted to thrash and swear and run, a part wanted to tear down every single thing in vicinity and destroy them without mercy. But a bigger part of her wanted to stay put, endure all the feelings head on, stay calm and collected. She focused on that part. The aching kept increasing. Eli let out a blood curdling scream when she felt several snaps inside her head like opening several locks. Eventually the growing pain started subsiding and the exhaustion caught upto her. Her sight filled with white and black dots.
By then the light has already died down revealing her figure slumped in a heap on the floor.
