Adalaina's Dream

ADALAINA POV When I opened my eyes, I was in my clearing, my safe place. How did I get here? I was wearing a long white dress that went down to my ankles. I must be dead. That's the only explanation. "Hello, my dear." Came a comfoting voice behind me. I turned to face the woman who spoke. She was beautiful. Long black hair down to her knees, deep blue eyes with little specks in them that could pass for stars in the night sky, pale skin, made even paler by the flowing dark purple dress she wore. "All will be answered, my child, I promise." She smiled. "Am I dead?" Before she could say anything, I continued. "Man, that sucks. I survived all my father did, just to die from a panic attack. How lame. When people ask how I died, the answer will be 'oh, a panic attack.'" The woman laughed. "Oh my child, you are not dead. Just sleeping." "Oh...." I said shyly. "Where am I then?" "You are in my realm. I changed it to look like your favorite place so you'd be more comfortable." "So you're the Moon Goddess then?" "Yes, my dear." I was shocked. I didn't think anyone got visits from her anymore. "There is much to talk about. Let's sit." A little table with chairs appeared out of nowhere. "Moon Goddess, why have you decided to visit me?" "All will be answered, well all that I can anyway. Some things I can not say. My dear, you are a very special wolf. The first silver wolf in many, many years. Your mate is more hesitant than I thought he'd be when I paired you, though. I thought that if the two packs that had been at odds for years could join together, then it would show the rest that there can be peace. You have a great calling. The rogues can be stopped, but only by you." "But how? I only have a few of the powers that silver wolves before me have had. I can only heal others and sense their blood line." Confused, that's the only thing I feel right now. "You are yet to come into your full powers. You will know when the time is right. Be cautious. There are many enemies lurking. Now, it is time for you to return. Your brother will be arriving soon." She smiled. "Wait, can I, would it be possible to see my mother?" Her smile widened at my question. "Laina." Another voice from behind me spoke, a voice I would recognize anywhere. I faced her, tears falling. "Mom." I ran into her embrace. She held me for a little while. "My dear sweet girl. You have done so well, I'm so proud of you. I love you so much. Please tell your brother how much I love him as well." She smoothed my hair as I looked up at her. I nodded. "I love you, mom." There was a bright flash of light, then it was dark again. I could hear voices, but they weren't clear. I slowly opened my eyes, blinking to adjust to the light. I saw Ashlee and Dustin first. Then the door opened again and I smelled him before I saw him. Tanner. I told them all that happened in my vision, or dream, whatever one would call it. Ashlee and I went to my room, and we got cleaned up, then headed down to meet my favorite guest.
