Chapter 20

Sebastian's POV My mind was all over the place on the drive back home.  Sage warned me that something like this could possible happen but I never listened to him.  Women threw themselves at me and I basked in the attention.  I was so stupid.  I tried to break things off with Fiona but she never listened to me and kept throwing herself at me.  I didn't do anything to stop her.  I didn't have a mate at the time and she was there when ever I needed to blow off some steam.  I knew she wanted me to choose her as my mate but that would never happen.  Plus my brothers didn't like her very much. When we found Simone, I completely forgot about Fiona.  Her sister was mated to an Alpha of another pack, so she went to visit and now she was back.  My biggest concern was Simone.  I know that my sister and parents probably told Fiona that my brothers and I had found out mate.  Skyler said Fiona didn't want to hear it. We pulled up to the gate and our warriors immediately let us in.  When we pulled up to the packhouse I could already see my sister running out the front door and straight to Simone.  I could tell that she misssed her.  Skyler had always said she wished she had a sister and Simone filled that spot for her.  I was about to say something to her when I was my Gamma walk quickly past me and grab Mirabel.  "Mate," he said putting his face into Mirabel's neck.  I was happy for my friend.  He'd been wanting to find his mate since we turned 18.  For a moment, I forgot about my problem and reveled in my friend's happiness. Mirabel looked terrified. She was a witch and didn't understand the mate bond of wolves.  I was about to tell Joshua he was scaring her but Silas beat me to it. "Josh," Silas called him. "Joshua let her go." "MINE," he growled. "I know but you're scaring your mate. She's not a wolf and doesn't understand what's going on right now," Silas told him.  He released his hold on her but remained closely by her side.   "I think we should take this inside," Silas told everyone. Before I could take a step I heard the voice that made me remember my problems.  The voice I was dreading since we got on the road.   "Lover where have you been? I missed you."  Fiona came running out of the packhouse and ran straight to me before I could protest.  She wrapped her arms around me tightly.  Before I could pull her off of me, her body went floating in the air. "What the f*ck?!" Everyone yelled. Fiona was screaming and I didn't know what was going on.   "It's Simone!" Mirabel shouted. I looked at Simone and her eyes were black.  It was her wolf.  Her hand was raised as she suspended Fiona in the air. "Simone," Silas called out.  "Simone I need you to put her down." "He's MINE," she growled. I was shocked and din't know what to do.  Everyone stood in shock just as I was.  I listened to Silas and Mirabel try to get her to release Fiona but she wouldn't listen. "Storm," I called out.  I didn't know which wolf had taken over but I had to try. "Sapphire." She turned her head to look at me but kept her arm raised.  It was Sapphire.  "I need you to let her go." "You dare protect her," Sapphire shouted.  "You are MINE!" "I know.  I am your mate and you are mines. She is a pack member.  We protect pack members," I could see her eyes softening. "I love Simone.  Please release Fiona and let Simone come back." "Don't hurt her," Sapphire said before letting Simone come back.  Fiona dropped to the ground at the same time Simone went limp but I caught her before she could hit the ground. "You're supposed to help me," Fiona shouted.  "I'm your mate." "Shut up!" Skyler shouted at her as she kneeled down beside Simone.  "What's wrong with her?  She's not waking up." "Using her power took a lot of her energy," Mirabel said.  "She isn't properly trained and doesn't know how to use them yet.  She needs to rest.  She will wake up soon." "I'll take her to bed," Sage said coming over to take her from me.  I held her in my arms tighter not wanting to let her go.  "This is your fault," he said to me. "And she's my mate too."   He was right.  I loosened my grip and let him take her into the packhouse. I walked over to Fiona and kneeled down beside her.  "Are you ok?" I asked her. "No I'm not ok," she whimpered.  "That girl is crazy and I think I broke something when I landed.  My whole body hurts," she exaggerated. "I'll have someone take you to the doctor," I told her. "Can't you take me?" she asked. "No.  I have to go check on my mate.  I love her and what you and I had is over."  I stood up and headed inside the packhouse mindlinking a warrior to take her to the pack doctor.  I needed to check on my mate. "You can't do this to me," Fiona shouted to my back.  "I love you.  You are mines." Kaleb's POV "Is the rogue talking yet?"  Alpha Daniel asked. "No Alpha.  He still hasn't said a word," the warrior said. Alpha Daniel dismissed the warrior and stood from his desk.  "She's just an omega,"  he shouted.  "How could this rogue be afraid to speak against her?" "Unless she isn't an omega and everything her father said was true," I said. Alpha Daniel glared at me with had in his eyes when I mentioned Simone's father.  He sat in his chair.  "Dark Sky Pack hasn't returned my calls.  I will call them once more before we drive over there to speak to them in person." "Do you think going to their territory unannounced is a good idea?" Jason asked. "It's the only option left.  We don't have many allies and Dark Sky Pack is large and their warriors are strong.  We will need their help.  I feel a war coming,"  Alpha Daniel answered. ********** When we left Alpha Daniel's office I headed to the gym with Jason to get a workout in.  Whatever war he was talking about, I needed to be ready although I didn't think there would be any war.  I think it was just a random attack.  Working out also helps me to clear my head.  I've been doing a lot of thinking since the things that both my wolf and Jason said to me the other day.  My mind kept going back to Simone and everything that has been done to her.  Everything that I had done to her.  She was my mate and I rejected her because of something that was out of her control.  I got angry when I thought about all of the beatings she took.  She was my mate and I should've tried to protect her but I didn't. I was angry with myself.  I hit the punching bag one more time making it fly into the wall.  Breathing heavily I put my hands on my knees to catch my breath. "What's going on with you man?" Jason asked me. "My mate.  I need to get my mate back.  I have to make this all up to Simone."  Jason looked at me surprised.  "I have to get my mate back.  We made so many bad choices.  I have to fix this one." "I got you.  I will try my hardest to help you find her.  We will make a lot of changes when we take over the pack," Jason said. Simone's POV I woke up and my head was pounding.  What happened?  I sat up and my mates were fast asleep beside me.  They jumped up when they felt me moving. "What happened?" I asked them. "You don't remember?" Sage asked. "No.  I remember pulling up to the packhouse and everything after that is a blur.,"  I told them.  I tried to think of what happened when we got here but was drawing a blank. "You used your magic," Silas said.  "Sapphire took over your body and raised someone in the air." "Oh no," I gasped.  "Did I hurt them?  Please say I didn't hurt them."  "She's fine," Sage said.  "But I doubt she'll ever touch Sebastian again after that."  He chuckled. "Sebastian?   What did she do to Sebastian?"  I turned to look at him.  "Are you ok?" "I'm ok," he said.  "But I'm more worried about you and I need to explain.  Fiona...The girl you used your powers on was someone that I had a relationship with in the past." I frowned.  "She wasn't here when we found you as our mate so I never got a chance to completely break things off with her.  She's the reason we had to come back home sooner.  She didn't want to accept that I found my mate." "Is she going to be a problem?" I asked. "No," Sebastian answered.  "I already told her that you are my mate and anything I had with her is over.  You are the one I love.  You are who I want to be with." I listened to his words and I felt his pain.  He feared me rejecting him which was the last thing I would do.  "I understand that you have a past and I don't hold it against you," I told him.  "As long as anyone you had past relations with knows that you are my mate and not to disrespect the mate bond then we're ok." "Of course my Luna."  I kissed his lips reassuring him that everything was ok. "You should get some more sleep," Silas said.  "It's going to be a busy day tomorrow." "Why?" I asked.  "What's going on tomorrow?" "You'll see," he answered. I turned over and place my head on Sage's chest taking in his scent.  Before long, I was drifting off into a peaceful sleep.
