*ALEC’S POV*
I am sitting in my hotel room on my bed and looking at a copy of all of the files on the men that I murdered.
I then smell my mate in the room next to me.
Yeah, she’s my mate, but I need to deal with this crap first.
That’s why I am trying to pop into her life, I need to know she’s okay.
“I can finally be king instead of the prince of mermaids.” I say out loud with a slight chuckle.
If I have a mate, then my father will surely crown me king.
I then look to see that they ruled out that their deaths were from head injuries from hitting huge the rocks from the ocean floor.
“Good.” I say with a grin.
Then turn my lamp off and get to bed a happy man.
*CARLY’S POV*
I put on my pink bikini and then throw on a white coverup dress.
After sliding on some sandals, I grab my beach bag and sunglasses then walk out of my hotel room and lock the door once outside my room.

I lay down on my towel and open my bag and grab my fruit basket I just bought from a store on my way to the beach.
I then lay on my back and get my tan on.
After what feels like only minutes, I hear a familiar voice, yelling at another voice.
I get up and grab my bag and put my towel in it and an empty fruit container inside the bag as well.
“This is highly dangerous; these cops don’t mess around when it comes to murder.” I hear a woman say warningly.
“I know Lena, I know, I am being careful.” I hear the familiar guy say.
I then hide behind a rock and look to see it was the stupid guy sitting on the edge of the small lagoon, and a woman wearing what looks like a bikini top, a weird looking one at that.
“Are you? I am your older sister, father sent me here to make sure that you aren’t in any trouble or should I say causing any.” The Lena woman tells her brother.
The guy looks down and bites his lip.
“Well, tell father that I am okay, and inform him that I found my mate.” The guy says looking back at his sister.
“What? Well is she a mermaid?” The girl asks with a smirk.
He then shakes his head and rubs his forehead.
“A siren?! I thought that they stay away from populated places.” Lena says with pure shock in her voice.
“No, she’s a human, a mortal girl.” The unknown name guy says.
I really need to catch his name.
“Alec, does she know about you?” Lena asks him carefully.
He lets out a sigh.
Oh, thank the Lord I got thrown a bone.
“I met her yes, but she doesn’t know that I am a mermaid.” Alec informs his sister.
She looks down.
“You tell her, and bring her to father, I am sure that he can turn her into one of us, but not mother, for the love of Zeus don’t let her change the girl.” Lena tells her brother while giving him a pleading look.
He lets out a sigh and grabs her hands pulling her up.
I cover my mouth so that they don’t hear my gasp.
She had an orange tail with fish scales all over it and it sparkles in the sun.
She has long dark brown hair and super tan skin.
She is the most beautiful creature I’ve seen.
“I know, now tell father what you have gathered and tell him that I will return in now thirteen days with my mate.” Alec tells the mermaid.
She nods her head and then does a backflip back into the water.
Alec sighs and then stands up and starts walking away.
“Now I need to go back to the hotel and make sure my mate is still there.” He says out loud.
Then it dawned on me, he’s talking about me.
I decided to run up to him.
And confront him about this.
“You’re a mermaid?!” I ask him harshly.
He then turns around and lets out a groan.
“No, I’m a merman.” He corrects me.
I rolled my eyes.
“Fine, merman, tell me everything now.” I tell him while crossing my arms.
He lets out a sigh and looks around.
Then grabs my arm.
“Well do it in back in my hotel room, it’s not safe out here.” Alec informs me while pulling me away.
“Was that really your sister?” I ask him while fast walking after him.
“Yeah, I take it you heard everything?” He asks me.
“Yeah I did.” I say with disappointment.
“I promise that I’ll tell you everything.” He assures me while still dragging me through town.
“You better Alec.” I say flatly.
