CHAPTER 17

MYXY’S POV I don’t know what’s happening, because I just experienced being in another body just because she was asking for my help for the peace of their kingdom. I sighed, then fixed myself and looked in the mirror again. I don't know if I’m the only one who sees it, but the maids don’t notice what's happening. “Am I not dreaming? I don’t even know what world I’ve entered,” I said, then covered my face. “What are you doing, dear princess?” asked a maid. I looked at her in the mirror, then I smiled and shook my head. "N-nothing," I answered, then she bowed to me. To be honest, I feel like I’m struggling with the current situation, especially with the mission I have in this world. I don’t know anything else about other elemental kingdoms, especially witch land. Even if I am the most powerful witch, I don’t want to have this heavy responsibility. I just sighed, then I stood up. We left the room, and I met her brother, who was now in my body. I’m not used to what to call my new name, but I have to pretend I’m still this princess. “Maia, you have to prepare for the feast later,” he said, and I just nodded to him. “I’m already ready,” I said, then he smiled at me. While walking down the hall, I couldn’t help but stare at him. I don’t know why Maia has to ask me for help when they are alive and I am not involved in what they are fighting for. When we got down, we met a beautiful woman with a crown on her head. If I’m not mistaken, she is probably the queen and the one next to her is the king. The man in front of me bowed, and I did the same. “We have to prepare to appoint you as king, my son,” said the king, and then I looked at the man. “Will it be held today?” I wondered. The queen looked at me, then smiled and came closer to me, and then she held my hand. “You will put the crown on your brother,” she said, and then I looked into his eyes. “W-why me?” I wondered. “Because you are his younger sister, who will also provide guidance,” she said. I looked at Mio and then stared into her eyes. From his eyes, I saw some events. I breathed a sigh because of the shock that something bad was going to happen to him, then I looked at him. He immediately grabbed my hand and then asked what happened to me. “What did you see?” he asked, and I looked at him Does that mean that’s what this girl is capable of? I stood up straight, and then I held my head. It also turns out that what her eyes see every time she stares at someone is not good. I bowed, then I looked at him. “I don’t know how to explain it, but what I saw was not pleasant. Anyway, whatever happens, you have to be ready,” I explained, then he nodded at me. After I said that, I turned and left them to think first. I don’t know what the meaning of what I saw is, but I just experienced that thing. I have never experienced anything like that, and I don’t know what I can do to help them. While I was walking, I noticed that there was a house here, not far behind the palace. I frowned, then approached it and looked at it in its entirety. There is a name written outside the door, and I don’t know what that word means. I raised my hand, then I held it, and I gasped when it suddenly lit up. I looked around to see if anyone saw it, but fortunately, there was none. “What was that?” I wondered. I don’t know what I have to do to make everything in Maia’s world go well. The door opened, and I went in there, and when I got in, I closed my eyes because of the light that dawned on me, and when I slowly opened my eyes, I saw what was inside. Strange things that are so shiny and gem that I don’t know what they mean or what their benefits are. “Whoah? It's beautiful,” I said while looking at it. “These belong to me,” said a voice, and I looked at one of the gems and saw Maia’s face. “Do you know that you are surprising me because you suddenly appear?” I said, annoyed, and she just laughed at me. “I’m just hiding behind your personality, Myxy. Only you can see me and talk to me,” she said, and I nodded to her in agreement. “What are these gems? What does this mean?” I asked, then she looked at the gems. “Those have these powers that I use to gain strength. I use each of them for the benefit of the entire palace and my subjects,” she explained, and I touched them one by one. I feel the power each gem has, and I also feel what it can give you. I closed my eyes for a moment as I felt the power enter my body. I smiled when I felt it, and I didn’t expect it to be that strong. “Whoah. It feels so good,” I said while smiling. “But why are they here?” I wondered. “I know you’ll need a gem, Myxy. I have a gem that you need, so if you can help me, I will help you too,” she said, then I looked at her. “I don’t understand what you’re saying, Maia. What kind of gem are you saying can help me? I don’t remember that I need a gem,” I said, and then she looked into my eyes. “I can see what will happen to you when you return to Witchland, Myxy,” she said, and it was obvious in her tone that what she was saying was true. There are so many things that are bothering me that I don’t know what they are. But I only want to do one thing, which is to save my mom from Lilibeth. I turned to the door when I felt someone, and there was a strong black power just around. I immediately went out, then I put my hand on the door and tried to hide it so that no one could see it. “What are you doing?” she asked. “Hiding your gems,” I answered. “Why?” he wondered. “You don’t understand why your aunt needs to replace her son’s soul with your brother? She also needs to use these gems for her own sake, Maia,” I said, and I didn’t hear her speak any more. When I finished what I was doing, I left and looked for where the black magic I felt came from. I knew it was black magic, and I didn’t expect it to be this strong and have this feeling. I felt it once, and I can’t be wrong about what I felt. While walking, I stopped when I saw a woman with long black hair and a long violet dress. She’s smiling at me, and I can see that it’s not going to do any good. She approached me, and I did the same to her. When I got close, I looked at her from head to toe. Ugly is not a trend for them. “What are you doing behind the palace, Maia?” she asked me with a smile. I also smiled at her plastically in return. “I’m just walking around to think,” I answered. She took a deep breath, then looked around, and I grinned because I suspected it was true—that it wasn’t just because of the crown and the whole kingdom that she wanted. As well as the gems that Maia has. Maybe in this place, I can learn to fight without using anger, if not thinking as well. I looked at her, and she then looked back at me and smiled at her again. “Aren’t you hiding something else behind this palace?” she asked me, and I smiled even more at her. “What should I hide?” I asked, then she took a deep breath. “Anything…” she didn’t know how to say what she needed to say because I was looking into her eyes and trying to figure out what would happen to her. She can’t even look straight at me, especially in my eyes. It was obvious in her eyes that she was hiding something from me. “Do you want to say something?” I asked, and then she gasped. “N-nothing,” she answered, and I just smiled at her. “Ok, I have to go,” I said, then I left her. I felt him turn to me while I was walking, and I also felt her emit a strength that I promptly countered. Fortunately, the power she released was ineffective, so I quickly countered. I turned to face her, and I watched her scowl as she realized something was conspiring against her dominance. I quickly turned aside and walked to the place of the event. When I got there, I saw a man that Mio was talking to, and I frowned. If I’m not mistaken, he is probably their aunt’s son. I approached them and then looked at the man, and he bowed to him and smiled. I also smiled at him in return, because I obviously didn’t know what they were planning. I looked into his eyes and frowned when I couldn’t see anything in his eyes. “It’s good that you’re here,” Mio said, and I looked at him. “I saw Aunt behind the palace, and it looked like she was looking for something,” I said, then I looked at the man next to him. “What is she looking for?” I asked, and he immediately looked away. He looked at Mio, then laughed. “You know Mom likes to go around,” he said, laughing plastically. “Brother Mio, where is mother?” I asked, then he looked around. “They said they were just going to change clothes. Those will come down soon,” he answered, then I nodded. I left in front of them, then I went upstairs to make sure they were both safe. As I was going up, I felt a strange creature just around the palace, and I knew it was from Maia’s aunt. I prepared myself, and the only basic words I know how to chant are because that’s what I’ve mastered all my life. While I was walking, I pretended that I didn’t feel anything, and that I didn’t feel him just behind me. When I got to a room, I looked at it, and I could hear the voices of the king and queen talking. I frowned, then I put my ear to the door to hear whatever they were talking about. “You can’t tell me what I have to do, Mara,” said the King, and I frowned. “You know what could happen because of my greedy sister, my dear,” said the queen in a calm tone. Is that girl’s sister? I just held my breath and thought about what power Mio has, as well as that of the king and queen. Can’t they counter the power that a black magic girl has? I can’t believe that Maia still needs me to save her brother and their kingdom. “We have to be careful, and not everything depends on Maia’s hand, Mara, do you understand? Maia is also your daughter, but why do I feel like you are only taking care of her because of her brother? You can’t love only one child because they both come from you. Don’t you think about Maia’s feelings every time you say she needs to take care of her older brother instead of us taking care of her because she is the princess?” said the king. I was even more confused by what the king said, and I didn’t know what to think at first. Is it Maia, Mio, or the entire kingdom that is in danger because of the queen’s sister, who is greedy for power? I just sighed, and then I knocked. “Come in,” said the queen, and then I adjusted myself and smiled. “Mom,” I said as I opened the door and entered.
