Chapter 11: His interrogation and my answers

Ananya's POV~
"How did the money even left off? How are you managing the whole mansion expenses and yours?", he asked.
I stiffened at his question. He looked at me with scrutinizing gaze.
"You better give me an answer, Mrs.Ananya Austin Knight", he said. I gulped looking at him.
"Austin....I..", I said.
"I want only truth...", he said.
"It's just that the money you give for house expenses is more..", I said.
"Huh? But...she...", he stopped himself. I looked at him and understand what he said.
"It's okay...Austin...But the money you give is more than enough...", I said calmly. I don't want to him to know, I donate some money for patients who are in need.
"Fine then...If you need anything you should ask me..", he said while pulling me closer to him.
My breath hitched at the closeness.
"Okay..", I said with a low voice.
"Let's go...Ayu must be alone..", I said. He slowly left me.
I went into my room. I saw Ayu is sleeping and maid is there in the room.
"You can go now..", I said. She nodded and left the room.
I went to him and caressed his cheeks. I smiled seeing him.
I placed the pillows on the either side of him. When I turned around, I hit the wall.
"Ahh...", I groaned in pain while rubbed my forehead.
"Why is there a wall?", I said while rubbing my forehead. I saw Austin standing in front of me. I immediately stood still.
"You want something?", I asked.
"Can't I come if I have no work?", he asked. My eyes widened at his question.
"I didn't mean that...It's your home...You can come anywhere you want", I said.
"Not my but our home...", he said while slightly grabbing my chin. His eyes darkened looking at me. He might be angry. I nodded.
After one minute of intense eye contact, I broke the eye contact first.
"Let me freshen up...Will you look after Ayu for some time?", I asked. He nodded smiling.
I took my towel and pajama to the bathroom. I freshened up
quickly. I came out while drying my wet hair.
I saw Austin laying beside Ayu while wrapping his hands around him. I smiled looking at them.
I sat on the chair in front of the dressing table.
I looked at my neck. I slightly caressed the black bead chain. I smiled admiring the nupital chain on my neck.
When Austin has no problem wearing the nupital chain, then I can apply vermilion now.
But if he gets angry? It's okay...If he doesn't want that, I will not say...I am happy that atleast let me wear the nupital chain.
When I was about to apply vermilion,someone grabbed my hand. When I saw Austin, I flinched a little.
He took the vermilion box in his hand. I stood while looking at him. He took the vermilion in his hands and applied on my hairline.
I closed my eyes when I felt his hand applied vermilion. My eyes filled with tears of happiness.
"What happened? Did I do something wrong?", Austin asked looking confused. He gently wiped my tears. I shook my head as no.
"Actually I am happy...Thank you...Thank you so much...", I said while hugging while feeling overwhelmed by his actions. He gently ran his fingers on my hair. I closed my eyes feeling his warmth.
"It's okay...Now...We will both walk on one path together...forever.. ", he said and I nodded.
After some time, we slightly broke the hug. My face is red while thinking about my before actions.
Austin cleared his throat.
"I will be freshening up..", he said and went off. I smiled seeing him.
When I look at my face in the mirror, some of the vermilion is on my nose. It means the husband loves his wife a lot in our tradition. I slowly cleaned my nose.
I looked at Ayu. He is still sleeping. I placed a pillow on the either side of the bed. I went downstairs to prepare dinner.
I started making breakfast. When I was stirring the dish, I felt two hands on my waist. I flinched and was about to shout but stopped when I heard a familiar voice, "Shh....It's me..", he said.
I took a sharp breath and calmed myself. He placed his face on my shoulder. I felt goosebumps on my body.
"What..are..you doing?", I asked.
"I am hugging my wife..", he said. I blushed at his words.
"Leave me..What if someone see us like this?", I said in a low voice.
"Maids left a long time ago...Who will come on..?", he asked while caressing my clothed waist.
I am breathing heavily by his actions. My body shivered at his touch.
"Am I affecting you this much?", he whispered in my ear.
"I...I..", I can't able to utter a word.
He turned me around and now I am facing him. He placed his hands on the either side of me.
We both had a intense eye contact. I broke the eye contact because of my raising heart beat.
When I was about to turn around, He stopped me.
"The stove is on..", I said in a low voice.
"Oh...Let's off the stove..", he said and off the stove.
"Are you not hungry?", I asked.
"I am ...", he said.
"Then give me 5 minutes...I will be serving the dinner...", I said in a panic voice.
"Stop!", he said. I looked at him confused.
"I am hungry but not for food...but for this..", he said while his thumb caressed my lips. My face flsugehd at his shameless words.
"How can you say...?", I was cut off in middle when he placed his lips on mine.
At first, I was in shock. I don't know how to respond to his kiss. I wrapped my hands around his neck. His hands crept inside my pajama shirt. I shivered when his cold hands touched my warm skin. He caressed my waist and kissing me.
I tapped his shoulder when I can't take it anymore. He slowly moved away and placed a kiss on my jaw. He lifted me and placed me on the kitchen counter. I gasped while fisting his shirt tightly.
He started placing kisses on my neck. I titled my head a little at his kisses. Unknowingly a moan slipped out of my mouth, when I felt he slightly bit my neck. He started sucking and kissing my neck. He continuously licked the same spot again. I moaned. He slowly break apart from me after he kissed the same spot again.
He looked at my neck and smiled. When he was about to kiss me again, we both heard Ayu's crying.
"Oh...I think Ayu is awake..", I said. I smiled when he helped me put me down the counter.
"I will check on him..", I said.
"It's fine..I will go check on him...You prepare dinner..", he said. I nodded.
Austin went to the kitchen. My face flushed when I remember the scene before.
After few minutes, I completed making dinner. I noticed Austin didn't even come downstairs.
I went upstairs. I saw Austin is playing with Ayu. I just stood seeing him.
"Dinner is ready...Let's go..", I said.
After eating dinner, I started making Ayu sleep. Austin went to his study. Ayu slept as he is really tired after playing.
I started caressing his hair. He slightly snuggled towards me. I smiled and hugged him.
"Did he sleep?", I heard Austin's whisper. I saw Austin standing with 2 cups. I was puzzled seeing him.
"Yeah..", I whispered back.
"Hot chocolate ", he asked while signaling the cup to me.
"Sure..", I said smiling.
"Come to the balcony..", he said while going into the balcony of our room. I placed the pillows on either side of Ayu and went to the balcony.
I sat on the chair beside him. He passed me the hot chocolate.
"Thank you", I said while taking the cup.
We both are silent. None of us don't know how to start a conversation.
"It's peaceful right? To sit like this..", he said while looking at the outside. I admired when his hair was messy. He looked too handsome. My heart started beating fastly. I stood up and went towards the railing.
"Yeah...It's beautiful..", I said while standing near the railing. I shivered when the cold air hit me.
Suddenly, I felt a warm. I felt Austin behind me. I saw a blanket around us. He enveloped in the blanket with him.
"You don't feel cold right?", he asked while back hugging me tightly.
"How do you know..that I felt cold?", I asked.
"How couldn't I know? You shivered..", he said.
"Thank you", I said smiling.
"So....Let's get to know each other well..", he said.
"Okay", I said in a low voice.
"So...I will ask you questions..you can ask questions as well..", he said.
"Okay..", I said again. while my heart is beating quickly.
"Answer me honestly, Why didn't you use the money which I gave you for yourself?", he asked. I gasped. I turned around in his embrace. I looked at him.
"Austin...Actually..I ..", I stuttered.
"I don't want lies..", he said.
"I don't know how to say this..I really am not what you think..I don't want your money..I just wanted to be Ayu's mom..", I said. 'and your wife' , I said to myself.
"I never wanted your money...Believe me..I don't want to burden you", I said in a low voice scaring about his reaction. I just hung my head low.
"I..am..sorry..", he said with a broken voice.
I immediately looked up at his broken voice. I saw his face turned red and tears are threatening to come but he stopped them. His eyes are red.
"Don't be..I just wanted to prove myself..to make you trust me..I think you have little trust towards me..That's enough for me..", I said while caressing his hand.
"I'm sorry...but now the time has changed..I trust you now..I trust you with my whole heart..So..from now onwards there is no me and you...There is only..us..", he said while cupping my face.
"Austin...There..is..no..", I was about to deny but he cut me off by saying...
"Anu...You are my wife...I want to take care of you..", he said.
"Don't snatch my right from me..", he said while caressingvmy cheek. I nodded.
"I want to say one more thing..", I said.
"Go ahead..", he said.
"I used the remaining money..to..donate the people who are in need of money..for surgeries..", I said.
"I know..", he said. I looked shocked at his reply.
"How?", I asked being shocked.
"Today..I received a call saying that they are thankful to me..for teh donation. First I didn't understood anything but later I saw the card...I got to know about it.. That's why I asked before..what are you doing with the money? You didn't said anything..", he said.
"Ohh", I said being silent processing everything.
"Okay...now your turn....Do you wanna ask me something?", he asked.
"Are you still searching for her?", I asked in a low voice.
"No...", he said with a hard voice immediately.
"Why?", I asked.
"Because..she is my past...You are my present and future..", he said. Tears fell from my eyes from my eyes when he said that.
"What if...she come back...and..", I was cut off in middle..when he placed his finger on my lips.
"Sh..", he said. I just stood still. My tears are flowing continuously.
He wiped my tears carefully from my cheeks .
"I don't know why she left me..I agree...I did many mean things to you..I agree..I needed some time to accept everything...As I said...I accepted everything now....So now..She doesn't hold any place in my heart..", he said while looking into my eyes. All I saw was his honesty.
"So..You are the only who is ...who will be in my heart..", he said while placing my hand on his heart.
"So...Even she comes..she have to go..", he said while placing a kiss on my forehead.
"I promise you with my whole heart...I am going to be a best friend, best husband to you", he said while cupping my cheeks.
Tears fell from my eyes at his words. He carefully wiped my tears from my eyes.
"I...I- pro- promise that I will not leave you", I said while hicupping.
"That's the only thing that I want from you...", he said while placing his lips on mine.
He kissed me passionately. I enjoy the feeling of his lips on mine. My stomach just filled with butterflies. After few minutes, we broke apart. I hugged him tightly enjoying his warmth.
