Chapter 10: I mean it!!

Ananya's POV~

"Wow!!! Hurray!!", I exclaimed in happiness when I Austin went off to office.

All the maids rushed towards me, when they heard me screaming. Everyone are looking at me with shock when they saw me speaking with such loud voice.

I went towards our head maid, because she is the only one who is working in this mansion for a long time...May be since Austin's childhood.

"He said...he will give us a chance...", I exclaimed while hugging her. I danced and made them dance with me. Everyone laughed at my silliness. I smiled by thinking about us.

"Yes...Mrs.Knight...Coming days will be always be good days for you....", the head maid said.

"Yes Mrs.Knight", the maids said in a union. Tears filled my eyes when I heard them.

"Thank you all", I said while wiping my tears. We did a group hug and laughed. Suddenly, we heard Ayu's crying. I laughed at them.

"Okay...I am going upstairs ", I said and went upstairs .

Everybody nodded and went to their respective work.

When I went to the play room, I saw Ayu's is crying but when he saw me...he stopped crying.

"Oh...You wanted me..", I said while laughing at me.

"Ahh...h...mhmmm", Ayu whimpered ansld signalled me lift him by lifting his hands to me. I laughed and picked him.

"Oh baby....", I said while picking him up in my arms.

"You can go...I will handle him..", I said to the maid and she nodded.

"Oh baby...What happened? You should not cry..", I said in a baby voice. I took him to my room.

I comfortably sat on the bed and started rocking him in my arms.

Soon he slept in my arms. I slightly placed him on the bed. I placed the pillows on the either side of him on the bed. I asked one maid to look after him.

I went downstairs and started making lunch. After making lunch, I saw the time..I think Ayu will be waking up by now. I should go now or else he will be supking again by not seeing me.

After the lunch was done, I asked the maids to place the lunch. I went upstairs and asked maid to go and do your work.

I laid beside him and started patting his back. Soon he wiggled and woke up. His arms are around my neck. He came and hug me tightly. I smiled and patted him.

"Oh baby....still sleepy...", I asked. He just snuggled again. I smiled feeling his act.

I just patted him but flinched hearing the sudden sound.

I saw my phone is ringing. I saw the caller ID and felt nervous. It's Austin.

I took the phone from the night stand. I answered the call saying, "Hello".

"Hey...", he said.

"What are you doing?", he asked.

"Ayu just woke up from his nap...We both will eat lunch now...", I said in a low voice.

"Oh..", he said.

"Did you have lunch?", I asked.

"I have a lunch meeting with a client...I'll ne eating there..", he said. I smiled hearing him. He never used tell me anything before..What is he doing? What he does eat? When does he eat? What are his favourite food?

"Ananya...Are you there?", he asked. I came out of my thinking section.

"Yes..yes..Sorry I zoned out", I said feeling guilty.

"Hey...it's okay...You don't have to...", he said. I just hummed.

"Okay...I will be going to a meeting...I will meet you at evening", he said.

"Okay..Take care...", I said.

"Okay", he said.

"Bye..", I said.

"Bye!", he said.

I started smiling remembering our conversation. Then I felt my Ayu's small hand tapping me on my cheek. I smiled seeing him.

"Okay...Okay...Let's eat...I know you are hungry...", I said.

After that, I made him eat the food. The maid took him to play with her so that I can eat. After my food is done, I went to the room. My baby is energetic after the powerful morning nap. I smiled looking at him.

Then I remembered I have to go some jewellery designer so that I can fix my nupital chain.

I freshened up myself. I went towards my cupboard and took my purse which has my card in it. I took Austin card as well. What if my money is not enough? I folded the nupital chain in a cloth and kept in my purse.

I took Ayu in my arms so that he can get some fresh air. I made him wear warm clothes.

"Ayu....Let's go out", I said to him in a babyish voice.

"Y...ehshdn", he tried saying something and giggled .

"Okay...okay...", I said.

"I am going outside...I will be back soon..", I said to the head maid.

"But Mrs.Knight...I think you should inform Mr.Knight...", she said.

"But...He said he went for an important meeting...He is busy...I will be right back", I said while taking Ayu.

"But...Mrs.Knight...", she said.

"It's okay...I will be back...", I said.

After that, I went out and started walking while I keep my baby in my arms.

I started walking through the main road. I took a cab. I said the address to the driver and he started driving.

I placed Ayu on my lap. I made him stand on my lap. He looked outside with curious eyes.

After few minutes, we reached the place. I paid him and get off the car. I went inside the jewellery store with Ayu in my arms.

I went inside the store. I saw a staff came up to me.

"Ma'am...Do you need any help?", she asked.

"Yes...I want to know if the jewellery piece can be fixed here..", I asked.

"Yes ma'am..It's possible....Let me guide you to that section..", she said with a warm smile. I smiled went in the direction.

I saw a girl sitting in a cabin.

"Tiffany...Ma'am need you to fix the jewellery..", the girl said.

"Sure ma'am...Please sit..", the girl named Tiffany said. I smiled and thanked her.

"You guys go ahead...", the girl said and left.

"So..Ma'am...Can I see the jewellery piece?", she asked.

"Sure...", I said.

"Ayu baby...", I said while taking my purse from his hand. I placed him in my lap. He hugged and didn't move an inch.

"What a beautiful kid...", Tiffany said.

"Thank you!", I said while handing the my nupital chain.

"Ohh...This piece will take some time..Would like to wait, ma'am?", she said.

"Yes...How much time will it take?", I asked.

"It will take around 2 hours..", she said.

"Okay...I will be coming after 2 hours..", I said to her.

"Sure ma'am..", she said.

After that, I went outside of the jewellery shop. I saw a kids Cafe. I went inside. I saw some kids are playing but Ayu is small.

I went and saw the toys in another section. Ayu and I played all toys. I giggled whenever he hug me. I hugged him thinking I will never leave him.

When I saw the time, my eyes went wide. It's been 3hours, I am here..

"What if Austin comes home?", I thought and immediately went to jewellery shop while carrying Ayu in my arms.

I went inside the store. I saw the same girl standing.

"Ma'am...Your piece is ready...You can collect it there..", she said while pointing towards a counter.

"Thank you...", I said and went towards the counter.

Then...Ayu started crying seeing different people.

"Ayu...beta...What happened?", I asked.

"Shh...One minute", I tried pacifying him. All the staff were looking at me.

"Ma'am the bill ", the staff gave me the bill. As Ayu is crying, I gave the card immediately. They swiped the card and I entered the pin.

After paying the bill, I took the box and opened it. My nupital chain is fixed. It's looking nice. I sighed in relief.

Ayu is still irritated but he stopped crying.

"Let's go home,beta...We are too late..", I said while looking at time in my phone.

Then I hailed the cab. I placed Ayu on my lap and started patting his back. The traffic was jammed. Ayu slept in my lap. I patted him continously so that he don't get irritated.

Then I saw the bill, my eyes widened.

What the hell? I used Austin's card in hurry...Oh God!! What should I tell him? Will he think that I used his money? Will he think I am taling advantage of what happened morning? Will our relationship again will be ruined because of my mistake again? Tears filled my eyes...

No..no...He said he decided to give us chance...I will pay him back...I will promise him that I will pay him back...

But what should I say when he ask where I went? Austin doesn't like me wearing nupital chain or sindoor...What should I do?

I'm really doomed today...What should I do? Will our relationship will be back to square again? Will it withered before it blooms...??

My heart clenched at this thought...Oh God!! Help me!!

"Ma'am your destination is arrived...", the driver said.

"Okay..", I said while taking Ayu in my arms I placed his head on my shoulder so that he can peacefully sleep. I paid the driver. I started walking towards the mansion with fear.

Austin must have not come home...Yes...Let's think in a positive way. I said to myself.

Finally I reached the mansion. I saw a maid running and coming towards me.

"Mrs.Knight...Where were you? Mr.Knight came early...He looked for you...He is really angry ", a maid came and said everything panickedly

"He said your phone is not reachable...", she said and we both walked towards the mansion.

"What should I do? What he called...But I didn't hear anything...", I said and checked my phone with difficulty as Ayu is in my arms.

"Oh...it's switched off...May be battery ran out", I said while I went inside the mansion.

I saw Austin sitting on the sofa with a angry face. His face is red with anger. I flinched seeing him.

"Take Ayu to his room", he said with a controlled voice. A maid took me from him and went upstairs.

"All maids...you can go....I don't want to see any maid in this house in five minutes...", Austin said. I flinched at his voice.

"A..Aust...", he cut me off by showing his hand. I shut my mouth in fear.

All the maids left in five minutes. I clenched my purse in fear. I looked down, as I know he is glaring at me. He gestured me to come near.

I slowly took some steps towards him.

"Austin...I...I'm..", I was again cut off.

"Do you know why we use phone?", he asked with a dangerous voice coming near me. I just stood still hearing him.

"I asked you something..", he said with a raised voice.

"To...cal..call someone..", I said in a low voice.

"Okay...You do know the use of phone....", he said while giving me a sarcastic smile. I was scared seeing him like this.

"Then why the hell is your phone is off?", he yelled. I flinched at his voice.

"I...Me...The..phone...battery is low....Sorry...", I said while my hands are sweating with fear. He just looked at me and ran fingers in his hair.

"Don't you think you should inform me where you are going?", he said.

"I...I ..thought....I will be coming soon...but it got late...", I again said in a low voice. He is looking like a tiger right now. I feel myself as a his prey in front of him.

"So...You don't think it's necessary to inform me...Do you know how felt when I searched the whole mansion for you and Ayu? Do you know how I felt when I got to know about you from others?", he said in a controlled yet angry voice. I shivered at his voice.

"I'm sorry....", I said while looking down.

"Where did you even went that you didn't even take a driver with you?", he asked. I stiffened hearing that question.

Now what should I say? Will he again break the my nupital chain if he see this? I can't let him break the chain again...It's not good for him...

"Hello....What are you thinking?", he said while snapping his fingers. I immediately hide my purse.

"What is there in that purse?", he asked while holding my shoulders.

"No...No..Nothing..", I lied.

"Do you think you can lie to me?", he asked while holding my arms.

"I...I..", I stuttered.

"Where did you went?", he asked again.

When I was thinking of making that excuse, he snatched my purse from me. My eyes widened with fear.

"No..No..Austin...I...", I stuttered when he opened the purse and took the hold of the box.

"no...No..Austin...Please don't.. ", I said while trying to take the box but he pulled away and opened it.

When he opened the box, he stood still seeing the nupital chain in the box.

"A..Au..Austin...See..I can explain...", I said while holding his hand.

"This chain means a lot to me...This chain is a symbol of our relationship...I wanted to save it...That's why I went to jewellery designer today...I made her repeat it...but she said it will take time..so..I went to kid's Cafe with Ayu at the same street...I didn't notice the time...Sorry...", I said everything which I have done. Austin just looked at me.

He took the chain in his hands. Then he looked at me.

"Austin...Please don't break it again...It's really important in our tradition...Please...", I said while closing my eyes. Tears are falling from my eyes.

"I know...I know...You..You don't believe those things...But please...It's really important for me...", I said while tears are flowing from my eyes.

Austin doesn't speak. I slowly open my eyes when I felt a hand caress my cheek.

"Anu...", he said with a low voice. I looked down not being able to look at him

"Today...When I said we are gonna work on our relationship...I mean it from my heart...", he said. I instantly looked at him.

"I know I was behaved terribly with you...I know...I did hurt you with my words...", he said.

"But I'm sorry for everything ....I'm sorry for not considering your feelings...before.. ", he said.

"Just as I said that was Before..but...Now...You are likes will also be my likes...Your believes will also be my believes..", he said. Tears escaped from my eyes by listening to him.

"So as of now...If this is important to you...than it's important for me as well...", he said showing me the nupital chain. He himself tied the nupital chain around my neck. He smiled looking at me.

"So...Don't be scared while expressing about your opinion or your view..on anything...We need to understand each other right?", he said while cupping my face. I nodded. He smiled and pecked my forehead.

"But the only thing...That I didn't like is...", he said and I was tensed hearing him.

"That you didn't inform me when youa re going out...Your phone is off...I was really worried for you when your phone is off..", he said. I nodded hearing him.

"I thought you will be busy with your lunch meeting...", I said in a low voice.

"That doesn't matter...I will always lift my phone when you call me...So you should inform me..", he said. I nodded.

"I want words...babygirl...", he said. My eyes widened hearing him.

"Yes..", I nodded.

"Good girl...", he said while caressing my cheek.

"Austin...I...I..", I stuttered. I wanted to say that I used his money in hurry. Will he..?

"I said...Don't be scared of me...You can say anything you want...", he said while pulling me close to him. My hands are on his chest. His hands are around my waist making me dangerously close to him.

"Austin...I..I used your card in accident while paying the bill...", I said in a low voice.

"What?", he asked.

"Austin...Actually..in hurry...I gave them your card instead of my card...", I said while breathing heavily.

"I'm sorry...I must have used my ....", I started blabbering what came on my mind.

"Shh", he said while placing his finger on my lips.

"It doesn't matter...You can buy whatever you want...", he said.

"I...I...", I tried to say something butvhe cut me off by saying.

"How did the money even left off? How are you managing the whole mansion expenses and yours?", he asked.

I stiffened at his question. He looked at me with scrutinizing gaze.

"You better give me an answer, Mrs.Ananya Austin Knight", he said. I gulped looking at him.
