Chapter 14: Invitation

Ananya's POV~
Today I saw the different side of him. I smiled looking at him.
"What happened?", he asked while snapping his fingers in front of me.
I came out of my trance.
"Nothing...Sorry...I spaced out", I said.
"It's okay..", he said.
"How about we go outside?", he asked looking at me.
"Aren't you busy? I don't want to disturb your work..", I said.
"You're not disturbing me..I asked..Do you want to go?", he asked while taking my hands into his. I just looked down, what if I'm burdening him?
"If I'm not disturbing...Then we can go", I said smiling.
"Okay then...let's go...", he said.
"Do you...", I was interrupted by the knock on the door.
"Come in", he said coldly. His whole demeanor has changed in a second.
"What is it?", he asked.
"You can continue...I will wait outside..", I said and stood up.
"You don't need to do...Sit here..", he said and pulled me to sit on the sofa.
"Okay", I said in a low voice.
"Mr.Knight..", the guy from earlier stuttered.
"Dean..I don't have whole day", Austin said sighing.
The guy showed a sign. I didn't even know what is it.
"Okay..", Austin said.
"Okay Mr.Knight...Is there anything you want me to do?", he said.
"Is there any meeting left today?", Austin asked.
"No Mr.Knight...There are some files that need your approval..", he said.
"Okay..Check them first.. I will go now...Call me if something is up", Austin said.
"Okay Mr.Knight", he said and went off.
After he went off, I looked at Austin whonis now smiling at me. Is he bipolar?
"Austin..What did he said in sign language?.", I asked being curious.
"Nothing..Sometimes..we can't say about our projects..there will be risk..So..", Austin trailed.
"Oh...You need to be so cautious..", I said while making pout. Still I didn't understand what is that he can't say. He suddenly pecked my lips. I was shocked but soon recovered.
"Let's go...", he said while giving his hand to me. I placed my hand in his hand. He smiled. I stood up with him.
We both went outside. All are looking at me. I felt anxious as all are looking at us.
"Austin..Leave my hand.. I will walk with you.", I whispered.
"Why can't I hold your hand?", he asked looking at me.
"No..It's nothing like that...So many people are watching us..", I whispered.
"So what?", he asked.
He cupped my face and said, "All you need to think is, do you want to hold my hand or not? If you don't like me holding your hand..then I will not hold your hand", he said while moving his hands away from my face.
"No..no...I didn't mean that...", I said while holding his hand panicking.
"Okay..Then", he said while smiling at me. I smiled at him.
We both got into our car. Again I saw some car is following us from behind.
"Actually I forgot to ask you something...", I said looking at him.
"What is it?", he asked.
"Why there is some much security? Why are they following us? Why they are some many guards outside of our house as well?", I asked continuously.
"Oh..That...", he trailed.
"It's just we need security..There are many competitors..who may try to attack us..So we need it..", he said.
"but...", I said. He looked at me.
"It's just security...Why are you fussing so much?", he asked.
"No..It's not like that...I..", I panicked.
"Anu...Relax", he said while holding my hands.
"We are having a conversation. You don't need to be so cautious while talking to me..", he said while squeezed my hands a little. I nodded.
"You can tell me anything without hesitating..", he said.
"Actually..I have never experienced this...I mean..people following around..I don't feel comfortable..", I said.
"But Anu...It's for our safety..", Austin said.
"I know..How about we decrease the number?", I asked.
"Consider it is done..", he said. I smiled.
"Thank you", I said. He just smiled.
"But where are we going?", I asked looking at him.
"You are too curious...", he said. I pouted hearing him.
"You said you miss Indian street food right? We are going to restaurant where we can try Indian street food..", he said.
"What? Really?", I asked being excited.
"Yes..", he said smiling.
"Thank you", I said hugged him in excitement. He just smiled.
Suddenly, that car was halted. We both got out of the car.
"You need to wait for me to open the car door..", he said looking at me.
"Why do you need to do that? I have my hands to open it..", I said. He looked at me weirdly.
"Let's go..I am really craving for Indian food..", I said while rushing him. He just chuckled at me.
When I went inside the restaurant, My eyes widened looking at vibe. It's Indian. I smiled looking at the interior.
"Wow!! It looks amazing..", I said in awe.
"Do you like it?", he asked.
"Yeah..It's nice..", I said.
"Then you can have it..", he said while looking at his phone..
"Huh?.. leave all this..Let's eat something", I asked.
"Okay..", he said while typing something on his phone. We both sat down in one private room.
"Can't we just sit outside?", I asked.
"Why? You don't like it here?", he said.
"But we will waste money if we sit here..", I said. He chuckled looking at me.
"You just concentrate on your food..", he said.
"I saw the menu..", my eyes widened looking at the prices.
"Why these are so expensive?", I said while looking at the card.
"See..for this Kachori...They are charging this much...For this chat...they are charging this much..We have to spent whole fortune on them", I started ranting. I saw him looking at me weirdly.
"Just order what you want...I do think I can support my wife..", he said. I smiled hearing him.
"Don't worry about anything..Just eat what you want..If you don't eat..I feel bad..", he said.
"Okay..Let me order..", I said while scanning the menu again.
Soon the waiter came, he took the order and went off. I saw Austin is busy with his phone. So I didn't disturb him. After he was done with his phone. I smiled at him. He returned the smile.
"So..I want to ask something", I said.
"What is it?", he said.
"Can you share your brother's contact?", I asked.
"My brother...You mean Ethan's contact ...?", he asked.
"Yeah..", I said.
"Okay..", he said and he shared it.
"Okay..I have shared it..to your number", he said.
"Thanks..", I said.
"I want to invite your brother for dinner tomorrow..Is that fine?", I asked looking at him.
"Last time..I just made a whole mess..I want to apologize him properly", I said. He chuckled.
"You don't need to do", he said.
"But I want to", I said.
"Then you better be ready ", he said.
"Huh? What do you mean?", I asked being puzzled.
"Are you guys talking about me?", I heard a voice. I looked at the cabin door. Ethan stood there with cold look.
"Yeah...My wife want to have a talk with you", Austin said while smiling at me.
"Oh...", Ethan said in a cold voice and sat beside Austin. I just gave a nervous smile to him.
"Ethan bhai..", I said. He looked at me with cold look.
"I'm sorry...I shouldn't have behaved like that with you the other day...", I said looking down.
"Please forgive me..", I said with a low voice.
"I don't want to", Ethan said coldly.
"But I'm guilty....Please..I'm sorry..", I said while looking at him.
"Austin...Please say something to him..", I said looking at Austin.
"What can I say between you two?", he said while being non-chalant. I rolled my eyes at him.
"Don't roll your eyes at me..",Austin said. I shivered looking at these brothers.
"What do you want me to do so that you can forgive me?", I asked Ethan.
"Choose your words wisely....You can do anything I ask you to do?", Ethan asked.
I didn't know what I am getting myself into but Ethan is the only one who gave me a little support on our wedding.
Tears brimmed in my eyes when he is giving me cold shoulder now..Although I deserve it..but can't he forgive me once?
"What do you want?", I asked with broken voice. My eyes are red with tears. Tears started spilling from my eyes.
I was determined that I have to earn his forgiveness. I don't know why he is behaving so cold to me!..
I think I am pissed him off too much..I misunderstood the whole situation. I hope he forgive me.
