CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE Steel stepped out into the warmth of the afternoon sun. A cool breeze brushed his face as he stood for a moment as if he was basking in the bright sunlight. The roads were full of traffic, and the sidewalks crowded with passers-by. Upstairs CSU and the paramedics were doing their thing now that Steel had left. There was nothing more for him to do, and if he’d stayed, he would only have got in the way. The CSU report would take a while, possibly a day or two, due to the backlog.
