Death of a Luna

Not long after the incident with my cusions my mom took me out to a lake that was where her and my aunt used to play as kids, the lake was spectacular. " wow mom this lake is beautiful" I said. " yes and now you are only one of a handful of people that know about this special lake, its called Luna's lake." my mom said. " mom why is it called Luna's lake mom?" I asked? my mom chuckled at me ," its called Luna's lake because it is said the moon goddess herself before becoming a god became the first Luna of the first ever pack of werewolf's.  but its just a legend." mom said. my eyes went wide and I stared out at the beautiful lake before me, when suddenly a branch snapped off in the woods and the smell of rouges came. " kira run now" my mom shouted as she shifted into a beautiful silver wolf. I stood there for a moment like a deer in the headlights before I took off as my mom ordered, the sounds of snarling and fighting came clear as day, and a rouge was chasing me. " help someone please help." I shouted. Suddenly a huge black wolf leapt over head and took out the rouge,  ripping out its throat. Before bounding off toward where my mother was, along with the thundering paws of other warriors in the pack. 

Scotts pov:

 I heard screams coming from near Luna's lake and my sister mind linked me  that rouges where coming, so I shifted into my wolf Arrow and we took off to deal with the rouges along with at least 50 of my warriors,  I saw my niece running toward the pack house screaming for help and a rouge hot on her heals, I bounded over her and caught the rouge by surprise, Before he had a chance to react I had his throat in my jaws and ripped it out, blood splattered and covered me, and my nieces face but I just kept going my sister was in danger and on pack lands no less, how how did they get in I thought to myself. My sister was trying to hold of 4 rouges and loosing, when I finally got to her. I charged in head first knocking one rouge into another before my warriors took them out, and soon it was me and my sister back to back like old times, however before I could react, I heard the painful whimpers of my sisters wolf rose,  the rouge in front of me took this as an opportunity with me distracted to attack. I dodged him and we started to circle each other before I made the first move going for his throat. He however dodged me and got a bite in to my back leg before I turned and snapped his neck,  My warriors took out the rouge that had gotten my sister, I shifted back and ran to her as fast as I could, but there was no way to save her. her last words to me where, " don't let them have her." I was confused by this, my sister was being the mother she always was protecting her daughter and trying to save the pack. I let out the most mournful howl possible. I was heartbroken having lost my sister and I know my mate will be as well, they where best friends since child hood. " take her body back we will give her a proper burial, as for the rouges burn there bodies." I said to my head warrior Eric. he nodded and went to work with the other warriors disposing of the rouge bodies as I went to my niece who was now with my mate, my beautiful Evangeline. 

As I walked up I saw the tears in my mates eyes, she could already feel my sorrow at the death of my sister, however unsure what has me so mournful. "what happened my dearest?" Evangeline asked me. " Evangeline, kira I am so sorry but Luna Merinda is with the moon goddess." Evangeline covered her mouth as silent tears began to stream down her face, kira looked at me wide eyes. " NO NO SHES NOT DEAD SHE CAN'T BE DEAD" kira screamed. I had to hold her to my chest to get her to stop, and to keep her from hurting herself. I held her until she cried herself to sleep, its hard loosing one parent, but she has lost not only her father, her mother but also her entire pack. I should of stopped my sister from taking her to Luna's lake. But I thought it was safe, its well with pack territory and Patrol  should of stopped the rouges before they got anywhere near Luna's lake. Evangeline looked at me like she had the same thought. " how did they get past patrol?" Evangeline asked me. " I don't know but when I find out there will be hell to pay." I told my mate as I picked Kira up and took her to her room.
